You know when you get a hotel and look for food nearby? There was a Perkins which the hotel told me about but I don’t like chains. So I saw this and walked over and my mind was blown. I love when you can tell that a place is a local neighborhood favorite cuz it’s packed and the bartenders are talking to their regulars. My bartender had the whole bar under control, acknowledged me and gave me advice about what was good. I got the ribeye sandwich which i never new was a thing but I guess it is in South Dakota. Let me tell you, instead of the juices running into the plate, the toasted burger bun soaked it all up and was the best ribeye ever, cooked to medium rare like I asked. And the tots were cooked thru to perfection and not greasy. Tot perfection does not happen very often for me at least and these were the best. So if you happen to check into a chain hotel on gateway in the empire neighborhood of Sioux Falls, definitely go eat at this family owned bar and grill. I did not drink bc I had the day before but they had a great selection of all of your beverage needs and the locals at the bar were friendly.

Gateway Bar and Grill – Sioux Falls' Go-To Spot for Football Sundays! I had an incredible experience at the Gateway Bar and Grill in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This place has everything you could ask for in a neighborhood bar—friendly service, a welcoming atmosphere, and an excellent setup for watching football! Whether you’re coming in for the game or just a casual night out, this is *the* spot. Special shoutout to the bartender, who was not only quick and attentive but also added a personal touch to every interaction, making sure everyone at the bar was well taken care of. If you’re a football fan, this is *the* place to be on Sundays—tons of TVs, a lively crowd, and a vibe that makes game day feel even more exciting. Highly recommend Gateway Bar and Grill for great drinks, delicious food, and the best football-watching experience in town! I’ll definitely be back.

Great place to gather with friends. It's our favorite. The food is the best! I was a little disappointed to find out we could have reserved a table. We were visiting from out of state and met up with friends and family. We arrived at 6 on a Friday thinking that we could get a table. We arrived to find out EVERY table had been reserved that was open. We came with 20+ people. We made it work in the end but the server didn't care to help us. We still had a great night and will be back. Moral of story: call to see if you can reserve a table

I have always enjoyed the Gateway for many years. But Saturday 3/30/2019 my spouse and a couple friends were at the Gateway. We arrived 3:30 pm for a couple drinks and then dinner. During our time there a few others combined 2 tables next to us to watch the basketball game. As the game went on more young gentlemen were standing in between our table and theirs, they kept backing into us without apology, then when my spouse came back from the restroom he tried to sit down as our food had arrived, he said excuse me with no response so loudly said can you move so I can sit. The gentlemen got very upset, came to my side grabbed the table and was going to move OUR table, i stood up, I think he was actually going to attack me. Then went back over to in between the tables and got into a verbal confrontation with my spouse then the gentlemen said " I guess when you get old you loose all respect!". A manager came over and said he was off duty buy the guy was in the wrong and he heard everything. I watched that manager sit down at the same table as this gentlemen was at!! They did move their tables down a little and made this gentlemen sit down. We received NO apology from anyone and not even a discount on our bills which both couples bills were over $80!! I am not sure we will ever be back and will be telling others of this horrible disrespect. My spouse is a military veteran and to be treated this way is...

The person working proceeded to tell me that this was a bank error not their's. She said that the bank doesn't know what I tipped so they just add a number on but it will actually clear for the correct amount. I proceeded to show her where it had cleared on my bank mobile app and she proceeded to tell me she had to have a paper copy. I got a little tude at this point and got very mouthy as I left to waste my time and my gas for their mistake. I got back with the printout and still got tude when I talked to her about it. I was very vocal at this point and I hope all the customers that were in there check to see what their bill actually posts as when it comes out of their account. I also made it very clear that I will be posting this all over the internet and I will be calling their boss as well for their lack of customer service skills. I got my money back but only after wasting my time and gas as well as having to get some major...
