I have been going to this JCPenney since I was a kid because of their good deals, and great clothes. No big deal. BUT NOW I SING THEIR PRAISES. My husband is active duty Air Force and has been deployed to an undisclosed location. They have nothing where they are. They all had to bring a pillow and they have the most basic of basic mattress on the floor to sleep on. (You know how it is, if you go on a weekend trip and bring the "wrong" pillow from home... try sleeping on it for months and in a 0 star hotel) So when I asked my husband what else they could REALLY use, he said mattress pads and pillows. So I told my mom in case we come across deals anywhere to have an extra set of eyes. My mom used to work at Pennies and asked for a manager so she could have box of pillows shipped to them (she is the best military mom ever!) Well they didn't just help my mom, they helped my husband's whole squadron. My husband misses me and our 2 kids more than ever, and he isn't the only one over there feeling that way. His whole team is sleeping a little bit better because of THIS JCPenney. And to top it off, they looked at my moms list and took the whole thing seriously. They went out and got laundry pods, tons of hygienic products and snacks to boot. Please support this store. They not only supported my mom, my husband, but they supported your country; and they did it without hesitation my mom said, and with all the heart and passion possible. It literally brings tears to my eyes, that my husband can seriously sleep better at night with all the work he has to do, and all the meanwhile, missing us so much! Thank You Sioux...
   Read moreIty seems lately, the trips to JCP have been disappointing. The departments are soooo crowded you can barely move. It is messy in the women's dept, could not walk straight through as there was so much on the floor. Seems like no one showed up for work that day. Today, however; we went to the men's dept to find a dress shirt and tie to go w/ my son's suit for a dance this weekend. Although it took a while to find what we wanted, (really crowded), but once we did and headed for the fitting room. Terry F. measured my son and helped guide us in the right direction for sizing. He took all the pins, tissue and cardboard out of the shirts so we didn't have to fuss with it. Pointed us in the direction of a full mirror and reminded us of the sales. Terry, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!!. Because of the sales, my son got 2 shirts and 2 ties for about the price of one shirt!! The cashier in that area was really backed up, so we went across the store to another one. Cheryl was helpful and patient. She told me of the additional savings if I used my JCP card. I didn't have it with me and she tried to pull it up, but evidently had not used it enough. So she offered to open me a new one and told me of even more savings.    Read moreItâs about an assault from another customer in JCPenny (Sioux Falls store). A customer from nowhere snatched garment from sisterâs hand. When my sister asked âWhyâ, other lady replied âThis is mineâ. How come a store garment in my sisters hand for more than 10 mins could be someone else? After that this other lady started arguing, abusing and assaulting my Mom and sister. That lady didnât stop, she scratched my sister and Momâs hand. That lady also spit on them. The most unacceptable thing is that store assistants including the manager did not take any action and even admitted that they are not trained to handle such situations. They could have spoken up instead of being audience. Itâs a human nature. Nobody will train you to stop a fight. If you canât touch, at least step up and stop the fight. CALL SECURITY IMMEDIATELY. Is that something a customer has to say that we need security in your store!!! Is that not your responsibility!!! Now, how will I ever let my family shop in JCPenny alone. May be they will not be safe again. Above all, can anybody believe that such a big store got many dummy cameras. When we asked for footage, they said that camera is dummy. Worse still the store staff who witnessed the incident refused to identify the perpetrator when asked by me and my family. Very disappointing and scary...
