UPDATE: Despite helzberg responding to my review, they've yet to respond to my email or do anything about this unacceptable ring we've been stuck with. We ended up going to riddles and selling our $5000 worth of ring for $1000 because that was all it was worth at this point. Riddles gave us a great deal on a new one through them and they have an in store jeweler so no more waiting a month for a ring to be shipped to who knows where. Literally, go anywhere else before buying a wedding ring or any ring at helzberg.
I would give this place zero stars if I could. We went into helzberg over a year ago just looking at wedding bands. They had one we really liked and they convinced us their lifetime guarantee meant they'd take care of everything and they'd take care of my engagement ring in the process. Fast forward to Nov 2023 when we got married and the nightmare begins. We drop the ring off a week or so after the wedding and tell them EXACTLY what we want. 2 months later, get an auto message that it's done, come pick it up. We'd already discussed that it needed to be shipped to us. Two calls later and they finally say they're going to mail it and it'll be here the next day. 3 days later and no one knows where my ring is. UPS finally shows up with it and it looks like absolute garbage. It's way too big, the engraving we specifically said was important was erased, the soldering looked like it had been done by a child, and the band is so thin it looks like one bump and it will break. Takes another 3 weeks to get the box to send it back. They swear they will make it perfect and another month goes by and I go to Sioux Falls to pick it up. The new engraving looks like a child wrote it and it's not centered, rather than thickening the band, they've flattened it out and made it so wide it's uncomfortable, the soldering still looks poor, and now there's dings on my engagement ring as well as the band. I tell them I want them to take them apart and give me my engagement ring back that they've all but ruined at this point and return their ring for our money back. They say it's older than 30 days, they can't return it, but they'll send it back a THIRD time to fix it. Another 3 weeks go by and I get it back today. The engraving is better and the width is better, but it still looks like a cheap knockoff ring with how poorly the band is constructed. I got married Nov 11, 2023 and it's now March 1, 2024 and I haven't had a ring this entire time. We now hate the ring but we're stuck with it. If you want someone who's going to deliver quality repair and customer service, go literally...
Read moreDissapointed. Took my necklace pendant to be cleaned and inspected for my insurance. During the process the associate broke my pendant. I waited for it to be fixed and returned to me. The day I picked it up, the pendant had a cloudy look inside the glass. It was put together but definitely not as nice looking as it was before I took it to them. It was told to me by the manager that I was wise for purchasing the insurance because it covers damage either caused by them or me. The manager was a very good salesman telling me I could have credit in the store because he was concerned it wouldn't be fixed to, "my satisfaction." The credit was because I had purchased insurance and not because they were taking credit for damaging my item. The pendant was most definitely dirty and cloudy inside and he had the audacity to act like I was just being picky. Then the lady who was told to take me around was showing me necklaces that were over the amount of the credit. I used to love the Sioux Falls Helzberg, but from now on will take my business elsewhere. Terrible experience...
Read moreExtremely disappointed right now..... I went into the Sioux Falls location the week prior to thanksgiving and ordered a ring for my wife for Christmas. I called 2 weeks ago and they said no problem it is on the way and should be their any day and that they would let me know. Didn’t here anything in 2 weeks, finally called again this morning and the lady I spoke with said it should be in today and they will call when they get their shipment. I didn’t hear anything all day so I decided to call and this time I got a different associate and she immediately says that their corporate office let them know the package was damaged. Now I’m 3 days from Christmas no ring a terrible experience and no solution offered expect a refund or I can use the credit toward a more expensive item. This is very poor customer service. Things happen I get it, but the lack of communication or empathy toward the situation is just sad. I wasn’t going to leave a poor review until the sales rep suggested I give my wife a picture of her ring for Christmas.Lost a customer for sure...
