I have been buying my potting soil here for four years now among many other things my husband went to buy the happy frog potting soil today that we have bought here for the last four years. The last time we purchased it was two months ago and it was less than $24 a bag Today my husband went to buy six bags of it and it was $44 a bag. He left and called me. I called up to the store and asked to speak with the manager. The manager told me that was the correct price. I explained to him I thought it was entered in the system wrong that I had just purchased it eight weeks ago , he said no that is the price I pushed a little further and said sir I can buy it on Amazon for $31 delivered to my house. He then tells me then you should buy it on Amazon. I was simply trying to get him to look into the matter a little bit more as . I was just trying to verify that they had not entered in the system incorrectly, But was shut down cold. I then called another store that carries it and was told it was $24 a bag there. we have bought countless weedeaters, chainsaws, barbecue grills and other items. This was our go to store. We’ve spent a lot of money at the store, to be treated like , we are not valuable. We are no longer customers here after being talked to this away today. this could’ve been handled so much differently. What happened to customer service and loyalty. We were loyal...
Read moreThis afternoon on 7/26/25 after trying to purchase a universal attachment for my weed trimmer and torchier lamp switch at Walmart in Webb City ( they didn't have either item) I stopped by Henkles across the street.
As I walked in, I was greeted by Amy and her pretty smile. As I said hello and walked past, she asked if she could help me find anything.. I'm not one to immediately ask for assistance but, I decided to take her up on her offer.
I told her that I was looking for a universal adapter that uses plastic blades in place of line. I didn't remember the brand of trimmer that I have but, she was immediately able to show me the universal adapter that I was looking for.
She then asked if there was anything else she could help me with. I explained that I was looking for a lamp switch for a torchier lamp that was my late wife's favorite. Once again, Amy knew exactly what I needed and where it was. I don't enjoy shopping for anything but Amy made my experience at Henkles very pleasurable. She is very pleasant and knowledgeable about the products and her customer service is second to none.
I will definitely be going back to Henkles in Webb City for my future hardware...

As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by several employees. While searching for the blade, an employee noticed we seemed unsure of where to go and kindly offered to help. We showed her a photo of what we needed, and she immediately guided us to the right spot, ensuring we found exactly what we were looking for.
At checkout, another friendly employee assisted us, making the process smooth. However, just as we were discussing the cost of the blade, my son suddenly got sick and vomited everywhere. The employees immediately jumped into action—one grabbed a bag to catch any more, another brought towels to clean up, and they even offered my son some water to help him feel better. They mopped the area, provided me with hand sanitizer after I helped clean up, and even gave my son some stickers to cheer him up. Their kindness and quick response made a stressful situation much more manageable, allowing me to get my son home to rest. I truly appreciate their outstanding customer service...
