Park Avenue Pizza Cafe — Restaurant in Weehawken

The pizza I ordered ruined my entire night. My intention was to order their “Bacon Ranch” pizza, already suspect, but since all “specialty” pizzas were jumbled into one list, I mistakenly ordered their “BBQ pizza” instead. Even with my error, I could never expect the grotesque mess that arrived at my door.

It was a heavy blob of bland cardboard chicken laden with industrial grade bbq sauce on top of crust. No sauce, no cheese, no attempt at balancing the ingredients. It tasted just as terrible as it looked. You could blame me for eating one slice (out of misguided politeness) and the embarrassment that comes with offering the food to my date. But the worst part was the way it turned both our stomachs with indigestion. No room for romance after that.

I could not request a refund or able leave a bad review on the purchasing app. Pizza parlors should stick to their strengths. I feel like they owe me more than my money....

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECCOMEND! I wanted to try a few local pizza shops, which were great. This one, however, by far was the worst and a huge waste of time and money. Not only was the pizza cold when we picked it up, but the chicken on top was so dry it was near inedible. The "garlic cheese bread" tasted like spicy chemicals and barely had any cheese on it. The "tiramisu" was store bought cake that also tasted like chemicals and dish sponges. Nothing tasted fresh, I wouldn't be surprised if they raided local dumpsters for their ingredients. Honestly, I also wouldn't be surprised if the pizza I received was someone else's rejected order from a week ago that had been sitting in the fridge. I didn't even have the heart to feed the leftovers to my dog, they just went straight into the trash. Please save yourself the aggravation and go anywhere else, a chain pizza shop would honestly...

For the most part this pizza is top 3 in the area. The poor review reflects the quality service here. I don’t believe the staff is fluent English due to consistent or confusion. In English I asked for a “ large white pizza” and received a plain large pizza. How hard is it to order a large white ricotta pizza! Very disappointed in the service although this could be improved. No time to argue the order after receiving it just give me what I ask for simply! I don’t want to mention this due to respect although I noticed while my pizza was being made bare handed that when a partner to this shop comes into the kitchen he’ll great the pizza making bare hands with unclean hands and continue to mold you pizza with contaminated hands.
