He is the worst technician I have encountered and consider this review as 0 star. He came to repair my LG tv and the first thing he mentioned is: you ruined this tv because you are using an external led light without even knowing the complete issue. I am using external led for past 4 years with my other tv and recently started using it LG tv. Issue was there were frequent disconnection of soundbar and tv and also firestick. Funny part was he said that you are using an HDMI and sound cannot be output to a soundbar from a HDMI. I told him I am using HDMI arc and it works for soundbar and he said straight away said no and asked me to use optical cable as HDMI cannot be used for sound output. I think he is unaware about how new tv works. As I was showing him the sound cut off issue he said he can't spend more than hour here and have to leave soon. Luckily I was able to show him that issue in time. He called LG technician and said the customer was using an external back led light and that is the reason things stopped working even though I mentioned him several times that this issue was there even when I was not using led lights as I was using it for another tv. Because of this Lg would have voided my warranty because of this guy. Lucky for me Lg did agree to replace it under warranty. He came back next day and changed the motherboard and still the same issue. He said he will talk to LG and let them know the issue is still there. I called LG tv two days later and asked him about the status of my repair. They mentioned the technician has closed the case as he changed the motherboard without mentioning that the issue still exists. I got really frustrated and LG people called the technician and asked about the status and he said that the customer issue is because of the soundbar and he is not telling this to LG (even though I mentioned to him that this is my 3rd soundbar and I tried with both vizio and Yamaha). Also, same issue was there with Amazon firestick as well. Stay away from JOA electronics even if agrees to fix your things for free. He is unknowledgeable, rude and...
Read moreI don’t usually post reviews, but after using JOA Electronics I had a very different experience than so many negative reviews.
My washer had leaked, but it was no longer under warranty. LG gave me the name of JOA Electronics, but so many reviews were bad. I called another appliance service I’ve used in the past but they said they were not LG certified and wouldn’t get good tech support from LG.
So I called JOA. He responded to my call quickly. He charges $100 service plus parts. (That’s not $100/hour, just $100!) We set up an appointment for later that day, gave me a 30-minute window, and said he would text when on the way. He texted me at the end of the appointment time window apologizing and saying he would be 30 minutes later. When he arrived, he was wearing a mask and took off his shoes.
It turned out that I had caused the leak by not putting the washer filter back correctly after I cleaned it. Wanting to be sure that the problem was solved (and thinking of all those bad reviews), I asked to remove and reinsert the filter myself, and then he ran the test again to assure me that the leak was fixed. He was patient about that. (And it has stayed fixed through several washes since.)
I was happy to spend the $100 and have the problem fixed so quickly.
As some reviewers have noted, probably English is his second language. I found him easy to communicate with, by phone, text, and in person. He is a bit...
Read moreWas referred to JOA appliance by LG. My microwave oven stopped working months ago. Initially my husband put in a call to LG and they said it sounded like a fuse issue and would send the fuse. Months have passed and we are now in the pandemic with plenty of time to get things done. I asked my husband what ever happened to the fuse. I decided to take matters into my own hands and call LG myself. After many disconnected calls, long holds and LG not being able to find my initial case I gave up for a few months. I called LG back recently and was finally able to have a successful call. I called JOA and set up an appointment. $100 for labor plus additional for parts. Was told he’d be at my home on a Wednesday between 10am and 12pm. After an hour and a half passed I called. He said he called me many times and left texts and voice messages. I asked him which number he called he said “this one” I asked him to repeat the number for me and he recited the last 4 digits. I then recited my entire number for him and told him that he must have been dialing the wrong number as I don’t have a single message, voicemail or text from him. He went silent on the phone for several seconds and I said “hello” then he said he couldn’t come today. At this point I’m frustrated and just said “thank you” and hung up. I then went to check out the reviews and at this point i think I’ll be looking else where for a...
