Normally, the food is excellent. However, we ordered the whole Peking Duck for $69, and all we received was a mix of a reheated shredded thigh and skin mixture. We couldn't find any breast meat. See the picture. Having just returned from having had amazing Peking Duck in Singapore, this was a huge disappointment. There, and at Jiangnan in Boston, they bring the whole duck and carve it at your table. We do not believe we received a whole duck. When we complained, they said it was served differently. In the past, at this restaurant, the duck was served with large pieces of breast meat topped with crispy skin. But not this time. The skin and meat were fatty and salty. Note, we were at the restaurant early at 4. One previous time, we arrived early and also did not seem to receive a whole duck. It seems like early arrivers get shredded duck from the previous day. This said, everything else we had was excellent. My grandsons loved the teriyaki beef sticks, pot stickers, house fried rice, and the always superb jumbo shrimp in spicy Shanghai sauce. If we have the duck here again, we will ask to have the whole duck brought to our table where we will carve it ourselves.

Crab Rangoon = not much filling inside… Singapore Noodles = I barely taste the curry; it’s not even spicy like it’s supposed to be; it was very bland! Shanghai House Fried Rice = not much meat included, mostly frozen mixed veges, and bland white rice. It’s not even slightly browned to look like actual fried rice!🤦🏻‍♂️ Boneless spare ribs = the only “decent” item in my entire order even though it was cold EDIT: the manager asked if they could remake the dishes for me. I told them I’d like to try the Singapore noodles and Fried Rice… the noodles were better, still not spicy, but actually tastes like curry now. The fried rice was still kind of bland. I guess I’ll just put salt and pepper when I eat it. Overall, I don’t think this is the place for me… I travel all over the US and I always order these items particularly, because they are very simple dishes… I’m not telling you not to eat here, definitely feel free to try for yourself. Maybe you’d appreciate the lack of seasoning and taste… some people prefer bland food 🤷🏻‍♂️ *I added a photo of the Singapore noodles… try to guess which one was the bland batch and which was the remake…

Originally found this place when it was mentioned in Boston magazine as a spot a famous chef liked to go on their night off. It's outstanding. To start with the food, you can have very tasty, fresh stir fries or get adventurous with weekend dim sum. Great soups and appetizers - our favorite is Vegetarian Goose, actually tofu skin and mushrooms. They have a liquor license and a neat little bar area, though it's not a drinking scene. The dining room is pretty and neatly kept, and tablecloths come out for the dinner service. The nice wait staff has been in place for years. Dishes are served promptly, always hot and fresh. They have a vigorous take out business but it doesn't interfere with table service at all. The photo shows Give Spice Beef Noodle Soup, which seemed a good idea for lunch on a cold and drizzly Saturday.

Worst meal I have ever had, so disappointing. It was 70.00, Inedible! This used to me one of my favorite restaurants, They must have sold? The Szechuan wonton, tasted like it had been previously frozen and the sauce had no flavor or heat. The Shanghai Beef was inedible(was once one of the best dishes ever) The Crispy Spicy Shrimp, the relish was burnt and there were shells. The PeaPod greens had no flavor and were though. I Never like to write reviews because every Chef can have a bad day, but this was so terrible and disappointing I had to speak up. Sadly, I have raved about this restaurant to SO MANY people, stating it was the best Chinese, I have ever had. Well clearly that ship has sailed. I hope if CK Sau, is still the owner, he might want to save his reputation. If Chef Sau is no longer the owner ,please let people know he is no longer at the helm. Otherwise people will assume he has lost his talent. He no longer should rely on his past accolades . He has gone down in Flames ...So...
