Oct2022: 3⭐: I have had the opportunity to visit this location twice since my last review and I am not impressed with this restaurant. I just don't see why locals seem to think it's worth recommending to someone new to the area. I am not and was not impressed with the varied items I ordered from the restaurant. Each of the items were plain...lacked any discernible taste. I even tried the pizza again and it was lacking for me. My family members are hooked on vegetable pizza. They believe it is a good thing. All I can say is that you visit and judge for yourself. This restroom was also in bad condition with no soap and no paper towels. Eww 🤢. This location really deserves a 2⭐. I won't eat from here again even though my family members order the vegetable pizza once or twice a month.
July2022: 3⭐: I would stick to everyday items if I returned to this restaurant location. I was visiting my family members who live in the apartment complex just up the street. They suggested a local pizza and sub shop that was walking distance from the complex. I decided to walk down to the restaurant and make a to-go order. I almost passed the restaurant as it was adjacent to the Sunoco gas station in the alley. I walked in and stood at the counter for a few seconds and a gentleman came out and greeted me with a smile and a gentleman came out and greeted me with a smile. I placed my order for the two pizzas and asked if it was a thin pizza. Without missing a beat, he says it's Greek pizza, they are always thin crust. Confidence was in his voice. I have had many of the types of pizza and his quick response let me know he was aware of how the pizza is prepared. I thought hmmm, then I'll take one and a vegetable pizza too. Okay, he was overconfident and not prepared to deliver on his ability. The pictures show he was wrong about the thin crust on all of the pizzas!! Unless all of their pizzas are on thin crust as shown in my pictures. The basil was sparlingly sprinkled on top and could not be distinguished from the taste of the pizza. The picture shows two types of tomato toppings used on the pizza. The cheese is the overwhelming main ingredient tasted on this pizza. If I wanted a cheese and tomato pizza....this was a good pizza, 4⭐. This was a failed attempt at this pizza and nothing more than a disappointing 1⭐out of 5⭐ at best for the failed attempt. The vegetable pizza was a 4⭐ score for taste and for visual appeal. You order speciality food you expect to get the specialty food. If you're a restaurant that serves specialty food, you should know how to prepare that special dish and do it right every time or take it...
Read moreThe only reason to come here is the roast beef, which is the reason this earns one star (otherwise it'd be zero if possible). Good portion, but the super doesn't always seem the same size. Taste is good because of the large amount of BBQ sauce. I generally love broasted chicken and potato wedges, but it's terrible here. Got the chicken dinner, and the chicken is somehow completely flavorless and dry, and they don't give any sauce with it. The potato wedges again are flavorless, I have no idea what they batter it with to make it so bad. No ketchup or sour cream to attempt to make it better. Pizza is mediocre. "Try our famous steak fries!", which I did and they were just as disappointing as the wedges, not even any detectable salt or ketchup included. Good luck getting them to honor their own coupons, they'll make up some excuse to not accept them, like not being able to change the order, but they offer to add on soda, makes sense right? I've only done pickup, so I haven't seen an order prepared, but I wouldn't be surprised by the lack of gloves that another review mentions based on...
Read moreI went into Marks yesterday and got a super beef. Nothing on it, sauce on the side. I was a chef for about 5 years with 10 years restaurant experience and really nothing could have prepared me for what I watched when they were prepping my beef. Not only did it take over 10 minutes with absolutely no one in the restaurant, and only two tickets hanging but they absolutely smashed my bun onto the grill and made it flat. I then watched him grab the roast beef with no gloves and make it into a hockey puck. Literally formed the roast beef with no gloves on, barehands into a hockey puck. Absolutely disgusting, it takes two seconds to put on a pair of gloves and two seconds to take them off. I was literally so embarrassed for them I just didn’t say anything. I was so grossed out I brought it home and threw it out. Not to mention by the time I got home it was med well....
