I have been patronizing the Wellington location of Good Day Pharmacy for a couple of years now. Both for myself, and for immune compromised members of my family. Up until today I have always used the drive through, or a curbside pickup, and had never noticed any cause for concern.
Today I entered the store for the first time, and what I found there was extremely troubling. In what is essentially a medical facility, serving medically vulnerable and/or compromised people, there is an astonishing lack of biosecurity. In a very small space, several customers were unmasked, an employee portioning prescriptions was wearing their mask improperly, and most disturbingly, there were two people cleaning the store (both behind and in front of the counter) without masks. Not only were they unmasked, but one of them repeatedly wiped their running nose with their sleeve and bare hand, before touching items on the counter and in the store with that same hand.
This cavalier, irresponsible, and unprofessional behavior is not only shocking in the context of the pandemic, but also in it's implications for the standards, and priorities that this store is being held to in general.
While I do not think it is reasonable to expect that patrons will take their business elsewhere (in an area with few conveniently located options). I hope that this store, and the Good Day Company as a whole take this opportunity to seriously reevaluate their policy, and it's enforcement.
I also urge anyone who relies on Good Day for their medication to take the precautions which this pharmacy is not taking, and treat their prescriptions as they might any other...

Just this past week, my new prescription had a tricky situation that kept holding up the order— they investigated and worked to ensure that I got it filled in time for the long weekend. (It took them several calls!) Melinda did the final footwork and she had such a caring manner!! 💗 I didn’t want to cause trouble so insisted that it was okay to wait ...but Melinda brought all the details to closure on my behalf. I’m just so touched — it really did make a difference to my health to have this before the weekend!! They are ALL wonderful ...but sending a special heartfelt thank you...
Read moreI recently went in to Good Day to have a prescription filled that was time sensitive. I work with the pharmacy alot and understand they are very busy, but when I went up to Patrick and asked him if he could take care of these prescriptions ASAP, he recognized the urgency and took care of everything. There was even a prescription that the pharmacy didn't have and he transferred it to another pharmacy that had the medication. Patrick went above and beyond to make sure my client was safe and I appreciated that. Patrick is not staying at that store, but I want upper management at Good Day Pharmacy to recognize Patrick for the outstanding Pharmacist he is.
