Washington State Apple Blossom Festival is a festival of Mesoamerica foods and poor Rap Music. I traveled from Germany to Washington just for this event. Festivals in Germany are tied to the name and have deep meanings. The apple blossom festival had no apple blossoms. There were no apple products for sale at the event; not homemade apple jelly, apple sauce, no apple butter with homemade biscuits, no apple cider or hard apple cider, no caramel apples or candied apples (supposedly an American thing), no potato pancakes with apple sauce, there was nothing, not one thing that tide this event to an apple. I contacted the Wenatchee city counsel. They refused to respond. This was not even "Washington" event. It is just about celebrating the foods and culture of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama etc. There was not even a barrel for apple bobbing, or other games including apples. Makes you wonder what the qualifications of their city counsel members are. I wasted thousands of dollars to photograph an apple event and got a few shots of train carrying an airplane. If you have nothing to do and you live there, sure, go out and do something but if you considering traveling thousands of miles for this event, don't. The city doesn't care at all about their heritage, culture, or the pride their...

Whoever set up this festival is mentally disabled. Nobody can get through the main section of town. There is massive traffic mayhem. Many people are walking through and down to river. Maybe next year set the festival up on that cobbled broken road (Columbia) down by river. I got stuck in this mess just trying to go to the bank. There are so many better places this festival could have been placed. Terrible terrible terrible...

From the Food fair, to the carnival and all over the parades we just love it! Last year my children both participated in the parade along with their school and won best small group! It was a very proud moment for us all. We have a picture button sitting on the shelf in our living room from the carnival last year. We take pride in our community and being a part of it all and look forward to enjoying all that Apple Blossom has to...
