This store is a rip off...I brought 3 bags of clothes and 5 silver 925 stamped rings. From all the items I brought in, they only accepted 9 items for 13 dollars and change. The items were Harley Davidson Female shirts barely worn that each cost me ftom 30.00 to 45.00 each, which means they wanted to buy them for about 1.50 cents each. I took my bags ( jeans, shoes, purses, boots, outerwear) and drove home. When I checked the bags the pouch withe the rings where not in them. I went back and the employee who originally processed by items wasnt there so another one reviewed the tapes and she saw that I dropped a ring on the floor which I picked up, put it in back in the pouch and showed them back to her and they were inserted in one of the bags I left at the store. So when I went back I found 1 of the rings on the floor by the counter where the employee took my items but the pouch disappeared. Now she is saying that I dropped all the rings and the pouch was "probably" empty. I am 62 y/o and have no reason why to lie about it. Plus my grandson was next to me and he can attest the rings were inside the pouch. Did the employee kept the pouch with the rings? I called the number I was given to the manager and so far no one has gotten back to me. Be attentive of your transactions when you go to that store. Hope who ever kept the...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but this was genuinely one of the worst retail experiences I’ve had. Every employee I interacted with was rude or dismissive.
No one greeted me when I walked in. When I said I was selling, I was told to “just scan the code.” After checking in, I had to approach someone again, and he barely acknowledged me before mumbling that it’d be a 30-minute wait.
While shopping, the store felt cold and unwelcoming. I asked for a fitting room, and an employee vaguely pointed, mumbled something, then finally said “never mind” when I looked confused (because they were all locked) and opened one, clearly annoyed.
When I checked out, I stood waiting while multiple employees stood around. The one who finally helped me pick up my buy offered no buy explanation. When I politely asked why they passed on stuff, I got a vague “stock levels” excuse — which I understand, but the attitude was unnecessary. After I said I didn’t need a copy of the receipt, he crumpled it and walked away without a word.
As a former Plato’s manager, I’m shocked by the lack of basic common courtesy and how poor the customer service was. None of the employees smiled or seemed remotely welcoming. I’ve had better experiences at a dollar store off Fletcher. This location seriously needs a reset...
Read moreFrom a shoppers perspective this is one of the best Plato’s closets I’ve been to. They have a huge selection of high end, gently worn, trendy clothes and shoes. Lots of Lululemon, ae, athleta, urban outfitters, Adidas, Under armor, Patagonia.I finally found the baggy high waisted jeans I’ve been searching for, at half the original cost. The girls who work here are young, that’s true. I can imagine the amount of pressure from sellers is overwhelming. Maybe a quick morning managers meeting going over professionalism and etiquette would be helpful to keep the happiness among the customers. It’s easy to become slightly jaded after handling the large amounts of clothes and shoes people bring in day after day. People want to be offered a fair amount for the items they once treasured. A solid explanation on rejection would lead to a better response from the public. After briefly talking to the assistant manager (heather?) I believe this store is in good hands and can continue to thrive with her...
