Let me start off by saying that most people do not take the time to write a review unless they are upset. My experiences with your home depot have been nothing but excellent with this store, Yes it is a very busy store because of its location and much harder to keep things stocked but yet every time I have went there I have always been able to get what I need and every time I ask for anything the service is awesome. people will lead me to exactly where the product I need is and also explain to me differences in other products there as well that I might be able to save a few bucks on that can be something that works just as well. For example I was there again yesterday and was unable to find the new replacement bulbs for the mag light flashlights to l.e.d. style bulbs. I had talked to a person there that went out of their way to find a guy named Gary who did have knowledge of these and went and tracked them down for me and when we went over there I found two of the 3 bulbs that I had been looking for and was at the check out isle ringing up my purchase when Gary come down the isle walking very fast towards me to make sure he could get to me before I left to say that he had went through and rearranged the area where the bulbs were that customers had left a mess and found that bulb that I had not been able to find and gave it to me at the check out as I was being processed. GREAT JOB once again for the excellent service once again from Gary and the person who directed me to Gary for the fast service. Again this is how I am treated every single time I go there. Also with the shades I purchased there a month ago for my entire house. Great job they knew exactly how much to take off for my window openings. As well as Plumbing that I have had outstanding help with as I am not knowledgable with at all. And they saved my day there as well. THANK YOU to ALL the GREAT and Helpful employees.. Read moreWe ordered a new refrigerator through Home Depot for the upper unit at our rental property after the compressor on the existing fridge went out. Home Depot sent out the same incapable crew to deliver the new fridge TWICE. The first time, they said they would not attempt delivering without a third person, and told me that I would need to call and reschedule. I did that, and made sure that it was abundantly clear that the team requested a third person. They assured me that the necessary team would be there. The following week the same crew came out for the 2nd attempted delivery.... and they DID NOT SEND A THIRD PERSON.
The two of them tried to bring the existing fridge down, and in doing so put multiple holes in the walls, ripped the door off of the fridge, and scratched the staircase. They got halfway down the stairs, LITERALLY said "eff it", and brought it back upstairs. They basically told me I was out of luck and would need to contact customer service to determine next steps, because they had other deliveries they needed to get to.
Needless to say, I was angry. They caused damage to my rental property (without any care or apology) and completely destroyed the existing fridge (which WAS operable, with the exception of the freezer). I called Home Depot to cancel the order, and see what kind of compensation could be offered. While the customer service rep was apologetic, after 90 minutes on the phone the solution that was offered was that they could reschedule the delivery for another day, and offer me a small discount towards that order. I told them to cancel the order, and that I had no interest in working with them or their delivery crews ever again.
I placed an order with another company, and it was delivered seamlessly within 2 days. Zero damage to any walls, fridge in perfect condition, and the delivery guys were genuinely happy to help. I will NEVER use Home Depot again...
Read moreDo not do delivery from this location. I ordered 4 rolls of corrugated pipe for my yard. Delivery #1 - they sent 2 rolls and said the delivery was complete. No problem, I called them and they sent out the other 2 right away. Delivery #2 -They tried to deliver those 2 to a different address - the billing address, not the shipping address. No problem, I call them again. They will send them out again right away. Delivery #3 -This time they marked the delivery as signature required. The original delivery did not have this, because no one is at the delivery site. So they don't leave the delivery. I call them. They apologize and will send it out again right away. Delivery #4 - 4 days after the original delivery I get the final two rolls... or so I thought. One roll was not perforated and was worthless to me. The other roll wasn't a 100 foot run like I ordered, but. 75 foot run and a 25 foot run. No big deal on the length, i was able to work with that. But obviously they just didn't have the product and switched out the last roll hoping I wouldn't notice. I called them, they will make the switch and get me the right product before I complete my job on the weekend. Delivery #5 - They never came!!! I had to borrow a friend's truck and drive to Menards to get what I needed to complete the job. And now I still have a worthless 100 foot run of tubing sitting in my front yard. Eventually I will borrow a truck again and return it to Home Depot West Allis.
