MISSION BBQ — Restaurant in West Allis

Mission BBQ West Allis catered appetizers and dinner for our 3/18/23 wedding reception of 200 people at Factory on Barclay — and y'all, they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, and the communication/help leading up to the big day was truly, truly superior to every other caterer that we had tried working with before that point (and there were many!).

Everyone was raving about the appetizers and the dinner, and several of our wedding guests went out of their way to mention how kind, gracious and helpful the serving staff were. All eyes may have been on my new husband and me that day... but the food was truly the star of the show!

From start to finish, Erica and her team were ready and eager to help make our wedding day perfect. Not only did Mission BBQ give us much better bang for our buck, not only did they deliver an unforgettable experience for us and for our guests...but they also made it a stress-free experience for my husband & me (which is SO appreciated)! They were so patient, so cheerful, so helpful and so gracious in working with us to figure out just the right menu for our reception, and how to make the night go smoothly.

We couldn't be happier with how the catering situation worked out, especially after the bad luck we'd be having with other caterers. I'm glad all those other caterers didn't pan out if it meant getting in touch with Mission BBQ and introducing our guests to some truly, truly amazing food... and really, really wonderful people. Mission BBQ feels like a new friend to us more than a caterer! They totally came through for my husband & me, and we are forever grateful for their help in making our wedding reception a huge (and delicious) success!

We had an amazing experience at Mission BBQ.

From the moment we approached the door, we received exceptional hospitality. Although we were a group of nine celebrating my 10-year-old's birthday (his choice) without scheduling a party, the staff treated us warmly. Notably, as we exited the van in frigid 1-degree weather with an elderly couple, an observant employee held the door open for us patiently.

Upon entering, the staff patiently assisted us in placing our large order after we decided on our meals. To my pleasant surprise, one of the employees brought our food to the table, saving us from the usual process of going back to the counter for our seven trays of food.

Throughout our meal, employees consistently checked in on us, providing extra plates, utensils, and to-go containers. The service far exceeded our expectations, especially for this type of restaurant. The final touch left us astounded, as, without any request, they surprised us with a birthday treat for my son. Having overheard us singing "Happy Birthday," they generously brought over a tray of brownie bites and chocolate chip cookies. Lastly, the food was incredible, everyone enjoyed their meal: smoke salmon, ribs, pulled chicken, salad, smoked turkey, and burger along with some tasty sides. I have been here numerous times, typically to go orders, and the food is on point every-time. If I could give 10 stars I would. First off 5 stars for the staff, they were absolutely amazing and so nice. This is our first time coming and we were standing off to the side looking at the menu and a member of the staff came to us and explained the menu so easily to us. Then the cashier was soooo nice. She heard me tell my husband after we paid that I should have gotten a brownie to try it and she offered me the brownie so I can try it, and I love them and will get them again. Then our food was ready and the manager and another very nice worker said “we heard this is your first time welcome and we hope you enjoy your meals” and the worker proceeded to help my husband carry the food to our table. She also came by a couple times to see how we were liking the food and brought us lids and boxes for our food. Exceptional service. The next 5stars is for how bomb the food was. Brisket, ribs, Mac n cheese, baked beans, fries and cornbread all amazing! And we loved the Baja Bold sauce so yummy with a good kick to it! Definitely the new spot, I’d go back for the service...
