I was looking for some fairly traditional Asian staples that you cannot find at a regular grocery store so looked up Asian Markets on Google. I got the find of my life time in the New Asian Supermarket! I started cooking serious Chinese food about 45 years ago when I moved to Madison, was happy but could not always find everything I wanted to experiment with. I walked into the New Asian Supermarket and immediately fell in love. Any and everything I had always wanted to try was there, I am not joking. All these years I have been looking for something called caul fat, and there it was, Utopia! Being from the Northwest I was shocked to find geoduck clams in this store, a bit pricey but well worth the $25/lb price when you haven't had one in 30 years or more! They have everything that I could ever want from an Asian grocery store, in fact I forgot one item, Red Bean Sauce, so my son went the next day and purchased it for me...he is also a cook and loved the store as much as I did. If you only speak English, don't worry, all the workers are very pleasant and will take you to the cash register where the young lady will direct you or tell the worker where to take you. You will love this market if you like to cook Asian dishes as much as I do! Plus it is very clean, don't be surprised at seeing chicken feet, etc. when looking in the meat case, they are great because they hold a lot of flavor and are full of gelatinous-rich ingredients! I was going East on W. Oklahoma Ave. and missed the store the first time, the store is located on the right side of the little mall on W Oklahoma so turn right on S.108th street, it is located in the corner of the L of of shops. Look for the green metal...

Amazing selection of frozen foods. By far the largest I've ever seen. Aisles worth. Terrific selection of fresh produce with competitive pricing. This is my go to grocery for all my Asian influence foods!! Fresh, live crabs...$2 for blues. Amazing! Lots of fresh seafood. Decent selection of meats. Even fresh duck, quail eggs, and more.
Two aisles with seasonings and spices. I am the spice/season gal and this market has you covered with crazy low prices.
Lots of gadgets, tools, accessories, pots, pans, plates, cups, tea pots, and so much more.
The aisles are not wide. The shelves are piled high. There is a LOT in this store.
Don't be in a rush when you go. Take your time and find all the goodies.
If you love cooking Asian influenced foods... I'll tease you with a price. 16 ounces of sesame oil for under $4! Crazy prices right? Go have fun! Tofu, bean sprouts, and cabbages are...
Read moreThere's definitely some awesome products in this establishment, as I've been here before a few times. However, the blatant lack of respect for African-American patrons is hard to ignore.
Every caucasian and asian patron that rang the bell for service was quickly acknowledged and assisted. Once I was ready to checkout, an employee looked at the register and continued with his conversation in the back. While another employee continued to look at me and stock the cooler a few feet away from the register. After standing for 5 minutes, pausing and ringing the bell three more times for assistance. I left my entire purchase on the conveyor and walked out.
It's your choice to be blatantly judgemental, solely based on the color of someone's skin and it's my choice to spend my hard earned dollars at another...
