Fortune Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in West Allis

The food was outstanding, but the service here is to be polite, always lacking. We took my niece here for her birthday earlier today. The food was perfect, but our server was very very rude when speaking with my wife. My wife was given so much attitude it was unreal. And then to top our visit off, after my wife paid our bill and she was stopped at the door by are server who insisted thst the 15% tip we left was not sufficient for our group. There were four of us... my wife and I. Our son and my niece. This server was simply so rude it was unreal. I did not want to go to Fortune but my niece likes the place. The last time we were there was my birthday earlier this year. I was with my wife and. Our order was taken, my wife and son were served as I just sat there. The food came and I was told its on the way. They finished, sat there and when I asked was told its coming. After a while I went to get pur server. I was told its coming. This is well over and hour after we were seated and ordered. I returned to the table, waited several minutes and asked again. I was told this time I was told it was going to take 20 before my food would be out. I ecplained that I have been waiting long enough that everyone else was served, ate and finished and my order had not even been placed unitl now. This manager I was speaking to told me there was nothing more, I just needed to wait. I told her to cancel my order as it was not my intention to spend the rest pf the day there. I was very angerly told that this was not going to happen and that I had to wait and pau for my order. I asked to speak with the manager and was told no one was able to speak with me. I could not believe this. After another 20 minutes my food arrived all baged up as take out. I payed and we left. This place has the worst service of anywhere in Milwaukee. I came through the drive-through about 30 minutes ago. There was no one present. When the lady came to the window she asked me what would I like to order. I told her vegetable fried rice and what I would like for it to have in it. Then she walked away and Proceeded to put the muster packs on the shelf. I did not understand what was going on. Then she came back to the window and asked me what number? I said I don't know the number. She closed the doors in my face and went back to putting mustard package on the shelf. How do I know the number when there's no information that indicates the number. Also it's vegetables fried rice I am a vegetarian how is it difficult it that to find. Once she close the windows I came inside of the restaurant.. Her and the front desk guy came from out of the kitchen. I can tell she said I was coming inside because he came over to the front desk apprehensive and with an attitude. I did place my order however the lady was sitting at the table cutting up leaves And another lady came to sit with her they started talking and kept looking back at me. I decided to just walk out. I'd left the order and my money and I would no longer return. I only came because the Pho restaurant up the street close down and I was new to this restaurant I have been here 3 times through the drive-through never any issue from the younger guy. All I can say is if you don't speak English don't put that person at the drive-through window. Her demeanor and tone was all very disrespectful and rude. I had to get my child out of the car to come inside. You try to support your local businesses but local businesses have to Provide a level of service and service and respect goes a long way. I have been to this restaurant several times. The food is authentic, and the service had been ok until yesterday. I and my wife and kids entered the restaurant around 7:00 pm. Half of the tables were occupied. We were seated immediately. Then nothing happened after that. There were three waitress. Looks like they are all busy with customers came before or after us, and has no time to even look at our table, of in the case they do looked in our direction, we are obviously 100% transparent. Two waitress even argued with each other when they both tried to take order from a neighboring table that came after us. Ok, I understand that it is busy hour, although about half of the tables are still empty. I can wait. Then, even after a while when they were not busy any more, a waitress simply stand there having nothing to do, and I looked directly into her eyes and made eye contacts, and still got totally ignored. That is the last straw, and we stand up and left, in front to them. No one even bother to ask why. The whole situation is very insulting and humiliating. Actually, this is not the first bad experience we had with this restaurant. The last time we ate there before yesterday, one of the waitress served us in a poor manner. I thought maybe she just had a bad day, so I totally ignored the bad service, and still paid her 20% tip, as I always do. But what happened yesterday is totally unforgivable. For unknown reason, the two waitresses simply refused to serve us. I am not going to pretend that nothing happened this time, and decide to write down this review to warn all customers who want to try this restaurant: if you like authentic Chinese food and enjoy insulting customer service, this is the best place you can find in Milwaukee.
