My fiance had my engagement ring made here. He had purchased the setting from here and the diamonds and sapphires were from his grandmother and mother. I love the ring and the setting is beautiful, but it was too big so I took it back to Sunset Hill to be resized. Once I picked my ring back up after the resizing I wore it for a few days and then I realized one of the sapphires had fallen out of the ring. I was lucky enough to find the sapphire and I took it back to the jeweler. I was upset that the stone had fallen out, but I was even more displeased by the way I was treated when I took it back to the jeweler. I spoke with Sandy (the owner) and explained how it had fallen out and how I was happy I found it because it belonged to my fiance's grandmother so I didn't feel as though it could be easily replaced. I felt that Sandy was very patronizing when I spoke with her. She basically accused me of lying about it belonging to his grandmother, and then proceeded to blame me for the stone falling out telling me "make sure you don't bump it". From where I found the stone I figured out that it must have fallen out when I was sorting DVDs in my living room, which is something I think I should be able to do without having to worry about the stones falling out of my ring. She never apologized and made me feel like it was all my fault. I would have been more understanding about the stone falling out if they weren't so rude and patronizing. We had just moved into the West Chester area and we were planning on making Sunset Hill our go-to jeweler, but after how poorly I was treated, I do not...
Read moreI visited Sunset Hill Jewelers for the first time on Christmas Eve this year. My wife and I had previously agreed... "no gifts for each other this year"... Yet that morning I had nearly stumbled upon a package she had wrapped for me. Needless to say, I had to jump into action! My wife likes estate jewelry and will often browse online shops looking at various rings, but never makes a purchase. After a quick Google search, I found Sunset Hill Jewelers. Local, and with speciality in estate pieces, I made the trip. I must say that I love the charm of this store. Once inside you feel immediate warmth and history. What makes it even more special is the service. I had help from not just one Sunset Hill expert...but two! Finally, after looking at several pieces...their specific questions helped me decide on a beautiful pair of aquamarine earrings set in gorgeous yellow gold. My wife loves the color blue, so these had to be it! I will certainly return to Sunset Hill Jewelers for future purchases. Shop small, eat local...support our great local West...
Read moreThe folks at Sunset Hill are incredible. They have a truly quality product, are professional, responsive, and responsible, and really care about the customer. By way of brief backstory, I was supposed to use another jeweler (in another State) for an engagement ring - I provided my own diamond stone. The other jeweler lied to me about how long it would take, and it threw my plans into disarray. I went to Sunset Hill, and they helped calm me down, and walked me through what they could do to help. Long story short, these amazing professionals helped coordinate shipping and receiving the diamond, casting the ring, and having it ready for my engagement, all in just TWO WEEKS. They kept me updated the whole time. They made a beautiful ring that was exactly what I wanted. And what’s really awesome is that they use their own goldsmith, so they didn’t have to rely on the supply chain. My fiancé loves the ring, and I do too. Sunset Hill has turned me into a lifelong customer. Thank you...
