Captain Doug — Local services in West Chicago Township

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. We booked and confirmed Doug months in advance to captain our boat. The day of our trip we show up to the dock/boat and Doug is no where to be found. We attempt to call (sends us straight to voicemail) text and email. No response. After waiting for an hour and having the boat company attempt to contact him multiple times we were forced to cancel our trip because we had no captain. Still to this day Doug has never reached out to apologize for his actions or explain. We later find on his social media that he was boasting about taking a different group out on the water the same day & time that we had him booked for. I guess he decided that was a better opportunity, but didn’t even at least have the decency to contact us in advance and lie and say he was sick etc. DO NOT book him if you don’t want him to ruin your entire day and plans after your group travels from around the world to...

Captain Doug went above and beyond to make an unforgettable experience!! Aside from being friendly and professional he also made many accommodations to give us the best charter experience such as offering seasick patches, portable chargers, and taking a Polaroid photo of our group and offering one to all the guests. All those extra things were completely complimentary. When we were anchored he also went around the boat offering to refill drinks or bring out things to people in the water. All in all you can see how passionate Captain Doug is about providing the best charter experience and I will absolutely be booking him again...
