Organic Headshots — Local services in West Chicago Township

I had a wonderful time at Organic Headshots. This was my first time at the studio and I loved it. Big shoutout to my photographer Genevieve and my make up artist Jen. The studio is great and has got a nice vibe. Before I started the session, Genevieve and Jen sat down with me and went over what I was looking for and looked through my older headshots to see what changes I want which I found to be very helpful. They truly listen to what you want and need. As someone who usually doesn't wear a lot of makeup, having Jen do my hair and makeup was very helpful as she really knew what makeup would work best to get camera ready. She understood exactly what I was looking for and I was really happy with how it turned out. Hair styling was also a good touch to give a professional look. Jen was also there throughout the photo session and would retouch my makeup and fix my hair between shots . Genevieve did an awesome job with the photo session. As someone who is camera shy, sometimes posing in front of the camera is a little daunting to me. However, I really enjoyed the headshot session and felt so comfortable. Genevieve made it fun and coached me so well with various poses and smiles to get a variety of photos to choose from. The photos would also appear on a live screen simultaneously so that helped me to figure out what poses and angles I liked best. Organic Headshots also gives you all the photos so no stress on choosing a photo then which was nice. When I received the file with my photos I was very happy with it. I was hopelessly scrolling through my Google search for Photographers specializing in headshots. I combed through a sea of 1 dimensional generic LinkedIn photos, when I finally came across Organic Headshots. The website, language, and photos were so different from the rest in the BEST way: professional yet vibrant and lively. I needed a QUICK turnaround time—like 48 hours quick (with edits and everything included). I arrived to the studio promptly 15 minutes late. My photographer Kirstine greeted me warmly and professionally. We spoke briefly but in depth about my goals and our aesthetic ideas. Before I knew it, she was off getting everything set up. I LOATHE getting my picture taken. How we didn’t end up with 100 shots of me looking awkward, disturbed, or some strange combination of both is a miracle in itself. Kirstine made me feel comfortable and confident. She kept it simple but paid attention to every single detail. Her posing was impeccable. The talent this woman possesses is unbelievable. The photos blew me away and the friendliness/customer service almost as much (sorry but the pics are KILLER). Kirstine also edited a couple of the photos I needed ASAP and did the most beautiful job in an insane amount of time.

Had such a great experience working with Genevieve and Organic Headshots. Before we started, Genevieve sat with me to discuss my style, what I was looking for, and other questions to make sure she understood my needs with this shoot. She then told me I could use there very well equipped styling area to refresh my hair and makeup, if I wanted, while she set up the background. I was so impressed with not only the products they had there to help me refresh, but also the variety of clothing and accessories available if I wanted to use any. I was also very impressed with all of the scenery options they had, like plants, furniture, and artwork, to make sure that they could capture my vibe in every way. During the shoot, Genevieve was so encouraging and paid attention to the details like stray hairs and hand positions. She made the time together fun and I felt like she was focused on making sure she captured what I was hoping for.
