Horrible experience from start to finish. If you have a wedding party I highly recommend using JOS. A BANK. Recently ordered 12 custom suits from this location for entire wedding party. Spending almost 10k in purchases over a 4 month period. Not a single part of the process was done correctly. An entire group of men ordered suits at the same exact time, referenced an upcoming wedding, and at checkout clerk did not make a group number for reference. They sent my husband home with one shoe in his shoebox (yes, he has two feet). Ordered a custom suit for the groom, and at pickup one week before the wedding, his suit bag was ready to go- without a custom shirt (this goes with the order). My husband ordered 9 sets of suspenders for the entire wedding party, and after 2 months when ALL suits came in and the groomsmen went to get them tailored the week of the wedding, not a SINGLE pair of pants had buttons for the suspenders inside. I guess we were supposed to use safety pins. Four of the nine groomsmen went to get fitted for the custom suits at different times and not one of them were able to do so upon arrival to the store because the clerk could not find the custom order in the system. They were sent home after looking and finding "nothing in the system" Having fun yet? Finally, as a bride, I had enough. 6 days before my wedding I accompanied my fiancé into the store to talk to the manager. I am a sales and service professional and I was extremely polite and considerate in speaking with the manager at this location. Hi Todd!! Mid conversation, after I had listed about 6 different issues we had during the process, he walks directly away from me as we speak and begins to help another customer. Completely ignoring, and walking away from me as I try to explain what an awful experience we had at his store. I was not offered an apology of any kind for the SEVERAL inconveniences that had been caused. He did not care in the least. Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. Adam (floor help), you are the only reason we stayed in the store that day. You were kind and helpful from the start. Your boss, Todd, should take a lesson in service from you. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. GO...
Read moreHorrible experience completely due to the awful behavior of staff here. From the second we came in, we got the most rude and unhelpful assistance. They straight up refused to measure until they were convinced we were going to buy something after half an hour of waiting.
Additionally, they peered and stalked the entire time as if we, who came in the middle of terribly snowy weather, came in for no other purpose but to loiter and steal. One older female employee named Tara or Taira (something with a T) bewiddled and ignored the questions and comments made by us regarding certain collared shirts or trying suits in the dressing rooms. Furthermore, the apparent branch manager Eli at first continued coldly and rudely to us until after he was convinced we were purchasing customers. And to top it off, as the people I was with walked to a different part of the store I was overhearing both Eli and Tara bad mouthing us for no reason who when they noticed I was listening whispered they'll wait till after were gone to talk about us further.
When we requested assistance in finding a better fitting slim white button-up, instead we were handed a modern fit, light pink button up and was told "we don't fit button ups for regular people, only if youre paying for it already". Mind you this from the branch manager.
What classist, uptight behavior does corporate allow?
Don't come here if you're looking to try on a collared shirt or a new suit. The men's wearhouse in Avon has way better staff, but to be honest, after yesterday's experience, im not convinced Mens Wearhouse is worth my money anymore. Shame since this was the second time I was at this branch, and the second time, I came in a group with the plan of spending hundreds of dollars.
Out of respect for my friends, our time, and our money, I didn't cause a scene or directly confront in public. It's simply ridiculous how the kindness of the people I came with was met with rudeness and demeaning attitude.
Not worth your time or money, I will be contacting corporate about this incident. It's...
Read moreImagine if you will, asking for one thing and receiving another, and then being told you’re ungrateful and unreasonable for being unhappy.
That’s exactly what happened with Andrew at this store. I went to get fitted for my wedding back in October by Sarah. We clearly stated I was to receive a custom fit tux and my groomsmen were to receive a rental.
Little known to me, Sarah moved forward with a rental for all of us, including myself. After trying it on 2 days before my wedding, the worst imaginable scenario played out, 3/4 rentals didn’t fit correctly.
With no time left because of the holiday to go elsewhere I was forced to go through men’s Wearhouse and was put into an off color suit, resulting in no longer matching my bridal party.
After asking for compensation for the mess up, I was told that I am ungrateful and unreasonable because they put me in a suit and did the alterations. IMAGINE THAT. I’m sorry, I don’t think it’s ungrateful or unreasonable to want things done correctly for my wedding day.
I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere for bridal party suits, or any suit for a special event in general. A quick google search will reveal this is standard practice for Men’s Wearhouse to mess up and not take responsibility.
The store manager Andrew actually had the audacity to tell me this is my fault, and inferred myself and bridal party are liars.
Conversations with corporate don’t result in much, as they just put it back on the store to...
