Pink Flamingo Party Co. — Local services in West Hartford

Balloons legitimately didn’t even last the day and they all sunk to the floor the day of my sisters graduation a few hours before we hung them up….Ashley I believe ? Not sure if she’s the manager or just a regular cashier I did see her name on another review already and my sister mentioned a lady with that name. Incredibly unprofessional, not very helpful regarding the situation when my sister followed up with her in person. She sort of brushed her off as my sister described saying there really isn’t anything they could do about it. It was kind of a big deal though because it took a long time, multiple family members helped and took time out of their day. Discourteous behavior on her part. How about a refund? We weren’t really offered anything as compensation even an apology would’ve been totally fine. My sister is not confrontational so she obviously left but I figured I would make a review because honestly I’m still upset to how everything played out.🤷‍♀️I saw the reviews were decent so I thought I would give it a try myself I actually told my sister about this place but do not come here!! I just went to their "Gilmore Girls Pop Up Event." What a bust! They advertised this whole Stars Hollow experience online. They clearly just stole footage from studio tours or other events. They only had a little coffee stand with Luke's written above it and a Stars Hollow sign outside. Inside, there was a small table with very limited GG merchandise. It was basically a bait and switch to get you into their store because 99% of the store was as it normally is. This is terrible advertising for them. They advertise being able to commit to a theme and then deliver very minimally. I wouldn't trust them with a party if this is how they deliver their store. The event was free so luckily I only lost the cost of street parking.

Edit: I was there at noon when it opened. The "guy who looked like Luke" literally couldn't answer any questions haha. He said "I just got here, I have no idea." And by the way, this is my account to post negative reviews. My other account posts many, many positive reviews as there are plenty of amazing businesses in WeHa that deserve praise. I was greeted enthusiastically and it was only uphill from there. I had purchased a balloon at a grocery store, not knowing Pink Flamingo existed. I wanted balloons to draw attention to a display table I had raising money for veterans in a Poppy Drive sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. One balloon was over inflated and popped while talking to a West Hartford Police Officer in West Hartford Center. He suggested going to Pink Flamingo Party Company down the street. Ashley, the owner, greeted by vey enthusiastically. I told her my tale, and she generously donated a balloon for my non-profit group. I wanted one to last for the Memorial Day Parade so she suggested I come back the next day, Sunday. I was greeted with the same enthusiasm by CC and Van, who helped me select an appropriate balloon. Now, I am looking into Pink Flamingo Party Company to create a display for the American Legion's booth at Celebrate West Hartford! Ashley is willing to work within our budget.
