Edited 04/27/2020: (Added to end with*) I just received my bill to find a very VERY different price tag than I was ever stated at this store. I had trouble with my cellphone screen, as the phones screen started to fade and was harder and harder to see. As an essential worker and now with the tough times that are happening, I need my phone more than ever. The phone I had was a Samsung Jv3 ( not a bells and whistles phone) the same I advised to the sales person(named McCoy) that I was looking for.(simple phone). He than went about on looking at my plan and I hadn't gotten a phone for a while out of the other lines and had an upgrade. I asked how much the phone would cost; he clearly stated about $74 dollars and some change. I than asked how much he would need today out of pocket; he said about $52... After being at the West Hartford location for more than an hour, as McCoy was trying to download contacts/photos (which he in the end said the phone couldn't read the chip) I left with paying $52.71. I was looking to see the remaining amount left on my bill ($22.09) that was indicated to me of at that point of $74.50 ...That was not the case at all! I than today see on my bill I got in the mail {23} more payments to come to the amount of $830!!!! THAT NUMBER WAS NEVER DISCLOSED. I am a minimalist and if I even heard that number I would have immediately have had walked out of the building and gone to Walmart and gotten a simple phone from Walmart for $30-$40 till I could order a restored phone that would be 1/5 the price of what they are trying to charge me for this phone. So I get on the phone after I get home from work to call them. I started talking to this one guy, suddenly while talking mid sentence I could hear i was being handed to another person after the first few minutes, to than have to reexplain myself again. He (Vinny) was told that they couldn't do anything about my phone and that he had to get off the phone because there were customers waiting and that he said to come down to see if he could do anything. I told him, we are suppose to only go out if needed and don't want to go down there and put myself at risk (again dealing with this whole Covid-19) which I face as an essential worker already everyday when I have to go to work. I asked for the headquarters contact (which he said they would say the same thing) but than said he would have his district manager call me. I am now waiting for that call... I still wrote this review because of the very misleading information that is clearly being given to customers. I went back today to have Ryan (store manager) an a associate inside to return my phone. I asked for Ryan who was on the phone with a customer about a problem and would have to come into the store... so already made me uneasy about the whole thing. He got off the phone and started to help me; asking about the phone I got and what I paid for; which I was already annoyed at the whole ordeal and said Pixel 3 and the price doesn't matter. He claimed he was just making small chat as he was going over how I misunderstood the process that took place March 14th. Out of nowhere the assist came over to put in his two cents on how he remembered being there (which he wasn't) and that the sales guy wouldn't have ever said that ( what I stated in first paragraph about the price.) I immediately responded " You weren't here when I purchased the phone; and who is the manager here? Ryan than spoke up again and the other guy walked away. (That whole action left me even more irate that the associate felt he could just pop up his feelings and stating false claims of being there that day and trying to get annoyed back at me for a situation he wasn't apart of) I returned the phone, but was told I had to pay the remaining cover of the phone they particularly covered with the phone I got (still reviewing that and looking into an additional $22.00 for another phone on the accounts balance) Ryan stated he wasn't charging the restock fee and I left with my return slip. Professionalism overall D+/C- and will not...
Read moreMy sister is a Verizon Customer who has been dealing with an issue from the West Hartford Mall store. They told her about some promotion and is wasnt correct. Well a long story short my sister had come into Bishops corner for help and explainations on her bill. The rep sat down with her and went over all the charges and services and even explained what she was paying for. She came to find out that some charges and payments were not correct and even though she has called customer care prior to coming to Bishops corner. Customer care had told her some story about why her bill was so large. However the Rep in store was able to explain and shed some light on the situations. Not only did he go over everything but he even went as far as calling in and coming up woth a solution. After several hours into days he had reached out to my sister and delivered some great news.
I couldnt believe it when my sister told me that this Rep took responsiblity for the screw up even though his store DIDN’T mistake.
I highly recommend Matthew from Bishops Corner. He is one of the best service reps i have ever interacted with. He was so friendly and helpful and i still couldnt believe that he took control of the situation and did all the work to fix an issue that he did not...
Read moreI’d give ZERO stars if it were an option! My experience was very different than the “rave reviews” posted here! Anthony was on the job for maybe 10 minutes. I visited the store for a promotion regarding trading in your phone for the “free” iPhone 15…He handled this transaction for me only to later discover (after a few billing cycles), that I wasn’t “eligible” for it!! When I later returned to the store & approached him about why I was paying for my new phone & rectifying this situation, he informed me he had “just started the job” when this transaction took place & he wasn’t aware of my ineligibility!!?? INCOMPETENCE MUCH??? He referred me to Johan, the “Manager”, who referred me to Damiano Sforza, who referred me to a “Stephen”. I’ve reached out to both several times, to no avail!! It’s been a “runaround” for months now!! I have had my business account w/Verizon for YEARS, which clearly means NOTHING! After filing a complaint w/the FCC & notifying Verizon “corporate”, if there is such a thing (absolutely impossible to find/contact upper management), I’ll be running far away from this company, as...
