Happy Hibachi Catering — Local services in West Hartford

We unfortunately had an overwhelmingly disappointing experience with our chef. We hired this company to come to our Airbnb in Maine for my friends bachelorette. The chef came early, set up super quickly and then wanted to begin before we were ready. The food was good but he rushed through the evening so quickly we couldn’t believe it. When booking, they told us it would be about an hour and a half experience. It was 45 minutes at best. The second he was done preparing the food, he came around with a QR code to write a google review and then packed up his stuff as quickly as possible and drove away. He was perfectly nice but we simply couldn’t believe how short and quick the experience was. He also only did a couple of tricks, all of which he missed on the first try and didn’t engage us much in the experience. Overall a very disappointing experience and I will not be hiring this...

If I could give this company negative stars I would, DO NOT book this company unless you want to pay an outrageous amount of money for 30 mins of interrupted and distracted time.

The chef is not to blame but the company for overbooking him.

The chef arrived for set up at 4:30, our party started at 5:00 and he was out the door at 5:30. The chef admitted he had another party in Hartford he had to rush too (no fault of his own), but the company for overbooking him.

Rushed. Yelled at us to sit down to eat 15 minutes before our scheduled time that they already called to move earlier. Barely spent an hour, very rushed. Cold vegetables. Steak undercooked still pink. Food in general was not great either. No show at all like a normal hibachi. Took pictures of us without our permission. Had the audacity to ask for a review shoving a card in our face while we’re still eating. Here’s your review. Then we’re not done eating and he’s asking for payment and hasn’t even...
