I currently attend the Gold's Gym at the West Lakes location and while the facility's location is great, I am disappointed by the state of the equipment and the overwhelming presence of high school kids during my workouts. As a paying member, I expect a certain standard of service, and unfortunately, my recent experiences have not met these expectations.
Firstly, the gym equipment appears to be outdated and in need of maintenance. Many of the machines are showing signs of wear and tear, which not only detracts from the overall experience but also raises concerns about safety and effectiveness. As a member paying a monthly fee of $45, I believe that the gym should be equipped with modern and well-maintained exercise gear to support my fitness goals.
Furthermore, the high number of high school kids loitering around the machines is disruptive and makes it difficult for paying members to utilize the equipment effectively. Their presence has been consistently overwhelming, and it significantly detracts from the professional and focused atmosphere that I would expect from a gym. This issue needs to be addressed promptly, as it affects the overall experience of members who are paying for a quality fitness environment.
I urge the management to take immediate action to address these concerns. It is essential to ensure that the gym provides a comfortable and conducive environment for all members to pursue their fitness goals without unnecessary distractions. Failure to address these issues could result in the loss of loyal members who expect a higher standard of service.
I hope that Gold's Gym will take these concerns seriously and make the necessary improvements to maintain the quality of its services. I look forward to seeing positive changes that will restore my confidence in the gym and its...
Read moreI love golds gym. I joined 2 years ago and had no problems with the initial sign up. Yes there was a contract and a sign up fee. I can't remember what it was but I would pay double if I had to cause I love golds that much. And listen, gyms dont make that much money. They have staff to pay, equipment to keep up with, wear and tear, and huge insurance to protect themselves. So per the previous review, yes they care about bottom line. But I have always had the best customer service. Unfortunately the front desk staff can be a little dull. But it depends on location. I can always ask the trainers for assistance and am never judged. Golds is a true fitness gym. Its for people who really want to benefit themselves no matter you're size or fitness level. Thier ultimate goal is to make you the best you can be. If you want to do mediocre then by all means please go to planet fitness or something (which is technically not a gym). If you want a manicure while running or some fru fru frills while working out then go to some high end place that has a water park like lifetime. You want to lose weight, build muscle, become a marathoner or triathlete, or just make a change and not be judged, then golds is the best place. Its no judgment, no excuse, all results, with top notch assistance. And best of all it becomes a...
Read more8 years as a customer thrown away over $75. Check my reviews, I'm not someone that gives out bad reviews lightly. Pretty sure this is my first 1 star.
Was a member here for 8 years and I used to recommend it. I moved within walking distance of a Lifetime so I decided to switch temporarily because of the convenience, with the idea that I'd switch back when I moved closer. This cancelation experience has made sure I'll never be back.
I go to cancel my membership, and they inform me that they'll charge me one more time and it will be canceled. Fine I get it. No complaints. Flash forward to 4 months later and I see a charge from Gold's just appeared on my statement. So I email to see what's going on. They inform me that canceling my membership doesn't remove the family membership automatically and that they asked if I'd like to cancel it. So I scroll up. A paragraph that starts with "Your membership will end 1/13" a bit more about the usual we'll miss you and at the very bottom of the email "please confirm this request is also for...". Suffice is to say, they knew what they were doing. Refused to refund or give me a call despite multiple requests.
If this is how they treat their customers then obviously I made a mistake spending the thousands of dollars I did. I will...
