The lack of any customer service, accountability for a complete disaster of a custom cake that was incorrectly done, and the fact that it still cost me $67 with no actual refund is unbelievable. I will never order from here again, recommend to friends or family, or place any future company cake and cookies orders. My "customer cake" order totaled $67. I spoke to Anne twice in detail about what was needed. This cake was for a military member who was recently promoted, and was to include an American Flag, ARMY insignia if possible and could be done exact and clean, gold roping along the top and bottom trim with gold dusting, and cake message in the center. The cake I picked up on Sunday looked nothing like what I asked for, and the insignia was horrible. It looked like it was done by a child. It had NO American Flag, NO gold roping with gold dust, the cake message was NOT written in the center and was written at the bottom very sloppy, and there was a large spot on the bottom left that I was told was "gold dusting" that looked like dirt. I spoke with a man and he offered no accountability for me being given a completely incorrect cake, or how sloppy it was done. He made excuses, said a cookie decorator worked on my cake, and made no attempt to appropriately correct the situation or offer a refund in anyway. His attempt at customer service was to provide me a $25 card to use on future orders, which is NOT a refund. It was a store credit to come back to their location, and give them MORE business, which I will never do again. I called the store again today to speak with someone else about the situation since I was so extremely disappointed, and again was not offered any appropriate compensation. I first spoke with Deanna who said she was a Manager, she said she saw the cake, and that Anne should have disclosed to me that putting gold dusting onto the top of the white icing would make it look like dirt. I advised that there was never supposed to be gold dusting on the white cake, it was only to be put over top of the gold icing that was made to look like roping on the trim. None the less if it is a known fact to look like dirt, why did they do that, and why didn't they have an actual cake decorator work on my cake then who would know that? I was placed on hold yet again, and a male got onto the line asking what I needed. I said I was waiting on hold and was speaking with someone named Deanna, he said yes and she just handed me the phone. I said, oh okay, well are you the male I already spoke with on Sunday when I was at the bakery? He said yes the he was the General Manager. I stated that I wanted to speak with someone else since he was no help the day I picked up the cake. He said unless there was any uneaten cake that was leftover from Sunday that I want to bring in so he can evaluate the amount of cake left and offer me a store credit for that, then there is nothing he can do for me. I found this statement to be comical and rude. He said their policy is to give a store credit, not an actual refund for errors. Again, the lack of any customer service, or accountability for the $67 slop I was handed is unbelievable. I will never order from her again, rec commend to friends or family, or place any future company cake and cookies orders.

I have a mixed review… We ordered a wedding cake and several cookies to be delivered to our venue. the quality/taste of the product was absolutely incredible. However, there is an absolute discrepancy in the cake decoration. In the pictures, I will show what it was supposed to be, and how it turned out. The flowers were not their responsibility however, the actual decorating (icing) of the cake was. on Monday after the wedding, I contacted them and explained that I was disappointed and how the cake looked. It thankfully was just as delicious as expected. But what was more disappointing than the cake decor itself is that I simply got a response of “I’m sorry your cake was not decorated” and that was it. I don’t want to say I would never order from them again… however it does lead me to question their attention to deal or concern on such an important date. **update: I did receive a sincere apologetic call in regards to the omission of the decoration and a gift card of $25 for omitting the decoration. I certainly can’t put a price on the photos or memories of the all white cake on the wedding day. That amount was explained to be what the decoration was valued at. Based on the reputation of this bakery I’m sure this was a fluke incident. I’m not exactly sure how to prevent this from happening other than now I would be more insistent on making sure we are on same page of the decoration expectation, make sure it’s communicated thoroughly. Either way… I’ve never tasted a better cake!!! It was a carrot cake and we also included a white almond with raspberry sheet to cut. Hands down the best tasting cakes in Pittsburgh.

Stopped here for a personal purchase after I tasted how delicious one of their cakes was from a work event. I decided to try something other than cake since I knew what it tasted like. I purchased mini lady locks, Cannoli and a gourmet cupcake. The cupcake was good. Nothing stood out about the cupcake other than they have talented designers. The Cannoli was good as well - nothing spectacular. The mini lady locks were a disappointment to say the least. There was so much powder sugar on them, I didn't realize the puff pastry was burnt until I got home and took a bit out of it. Each mini lady lock I tasted had burnt puff pastry. It tasted like burnt marshmallow. The pastry puff should NOT be a deep yellow and have a burnt after-taste to it. I would try their cake again from this establishment but someone else would have to pay for it. On a personal level, I would not drive 45 minutes again, passing several bakeries along the way only to get deceived by overly powdered mini lady locks that they must have known were burnt but chose to sell them anyway. Save yourself the drive.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! BAIT AND SWITCH!!!

We ordered 5 dozen cupcakes with their signature "spikey flower" design. The flowers are featured on their website as well as found in their in-shop photo books (as well as on cakes for sale in their in-shop coolers). It should have been a slam dunk - afterall, this is one of their signature designs, right??? WRONG.... Imagine my disappointment when I saw the cupcakes that were picked up today (for an event tomorrow) and found that the flowers we were given were only 1/2 the size of the flowers we were shown as samples. To add insult to injury, there's an ugly unprofessional looking border of icing ringing each flower. I could have made better cupcakes in my kitchen at home with my 2 year old... Did I mention they taste old too? It seems ike they baked the cupcakes a few days ago and then iced them today.

When the owner was consulted she was rude, defensive, and completely unhelpful. She refused to acknowledge that her employees made a mistake and she wouldn't refund our $100 deposit nor would she have the cupcakes remade or offer us a discount off of the several hundred dollar order price as a way to make amends for their horrible product. I will NEVER purchase anything from this place again and I will be warning all of my friends and family (including my Yelp family) to avoid them at all costs.

In case you're wanting a good laugh, here's what a store employee said to me when I called to complain later in the afternoon: "The employee who took your order isn't aware of what the decorators are capable of doing. The decorators didn't call you to get an OK for the changes to your order because they just decided that their solution woud be ok. I'm sorry there's nothing I can do for you."

Are you f'ing kidding me?!?! The employee taking the orders doens't know if the decorators can accommodate the orders she's taking? And the decorators are given license to make unilateral decisions regarding changes to the order without first consulting the client?

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - YOU'LL GET BETTER SERVICE...
