I wrote a review and somehow it got deleted. I came all the way from Chicago to eat here. by far is the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant I've ever been to in any city or state in the United States. First of all I wasn't offered a waiter at all. I had to ask for one then I still wasn't offered one never given any water I had to ask for that as well. I asked to be seated by the bar, but refused to let me made me to eat right choose a line where people were hanging over my food upon asking three people for a waiter. I was finally given a menu upon receiving a menu I had to flag a couple people down to acknowledge me and take my order when I receive my order, my food was not even lukewarm. It was cold. I ordered a bloody Mary had zero alcohol in it. Taste like water and tomato juice. Upon my completion of nibbles at the food, I had to flag another person down to try to get my bill. He forgot about me so I flagged him down again and he said oh I'm sorry I forgot then he came back. I paid there was an option to say how was our service today? He knew that I was going to say no, but took it upon himself to put that he did a great job following the horrible experience the owner contacted me via yelp and replied to my review, which is now taken down and said we will offer you service on the house for our mishap and providing an email address that was an act accurate. I contacted them via their website and left the owner and email to take him up on his offer to maybe give them another shot at offering at least halfway decent service but of course he lied never contacted me back. I wish I can give this place -10 stars do not go here. Their service sucks. They attend to they want to attend to and at no avail they are not remorseful at all cold food, water down drinks and the most horrible service in America I will make sure my review sticks because I feel people should know exactly what this pace has to offer. Do not waste...

We went to El Segundo last night for dinner. They were really busy, as expected on a Saturday night. First impressions- this place is super cute, it’s small but the atmosphere makes you want to be there. We were told there was a 20-25 minute wait. No problem, we went to the bar. This is where they lost a star. We sat at the bar for at 8-10 minutes before someone (not the bartender) asked if we wanted to place a drink order. The bartender never even made eye contact with us. The bar only seats 6-7 people so she was working hard to ignore us. We understood that one bartender was making all of the drinks for the whole restaurant, but she took the time to talk to other patrons at the bar and completely ignored us. We never even got an “I’m sorry I will be with you when I can.” The waitress who took our drink order was really nice, she even checked to make sure we were on the wait list, and she asked the bartender to prioritize our drinks because we had been sitting there for a while. Our drinks were great. The 50/50 margarita is smoky and delicious. We were seated and ordered food and more drinks. Everything arrived quickly. My husband LOVED the pork quesadilla. He is still talking about it. My chicken burrito was good. Our friend got the burger (on recommendation from our waiter) and there were no jalapeños in it- and it was supposed to be a jalapeño burger- so he was disappointed. Overall, it was a nice dinner and we will give it a second try on hopefully a less busy weekday! Oh and the live music...

Tantalizing Tacos: A Review of El Segundo

El Segundo is not just a taco joint; it's a fiesta for your taste buds. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the intoxicating aroma of sizzling meats and freshly baked tortillas. The ambiance is vibrant.

Let's talk tacos. Each bite is a flavor explosion, a perfect harmony of savory and spicy. Whether you opt for the classic carne asada, the tangy al pastor, or the succulent shrimp, you're in for a treat. The toppings are fresh and plentiful, adding layers of texture and taste that elevate each taco to a culinary masterpiece.

But El Segundo doesn't stop at tacos. Their sides are equally delightful, from the creamy guacamole to the zesty salsa verde. And let's not forget about the drinks. Their margaritas are legendary, perfectly balanced and dangerously delicious.

What truly sets El Segundo apart, though, is the service. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with a recommendation or a refill. It's clear that they're passionate about what they do, and it shines through in every aspect of the dining experience.

In conclusion, El Segundo is a taco lover's paradise. With mouthwatering food, lively ambiance, and top-notch service, it's a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of Mexico....

This place is my new go to secret spot. If you’re looking for a vibrant spot in West Palm Beach that nails both flavor and atmosphere, El Segundo is a must-visit. My recent meal here was a fantastic experience from start to finish, with each dish offering a fresh and creative twist on classic Mexican-inspired favorites. The setting at El Segundo is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of natural light and a casual, friendly vibe. The food presentation is playful yet polished, served on colorful trays and checkered paper that add to the lively ambiance. We had the guacamole and mole wings to start. Both were a great chose. For the main course we split tacos (left to right - chicharrone ceviche, two fish tacos, and on the right is El Big Mac taco which is basically a cheeseburger taco which I loved because it is different) and a Street Corn Caesar with Smoked Pork: This salad was a standout-crisp romaine, tangy dressing, and the addition of smoky, tender pork took it to the next level. The crunchy croutons and sprinkle of tajin added a nice punch. I took pics of the menu because we have so much more to try (birria tacos for sure) and 50/50 marg are my next order. In summary, this is a perfect casual post beach taco spot off the beaten path.

UPDATE: every time I come here, the food is better than the last!! I make sure to try different things, and I’m never ever disappointed. Today I tried the street corn Caesar and I think I’m a total convert. I got it with the mole chicken but next time I’m gonna get it with the brisket lol. Also the classic margaritas are great… Don’t let my old review full you. That was not my feedback. …. It was my friends and they obviously don’t know what they’re talking about. 🤣🤣 ORIGINAL: The food was so good I forgot to take pictures! But oh my God what a menu!! Such a cool vibe and what delectable food! We started with the Elote cheese dip to start and it did not disappoint!… I got the fish taco which was out of this world & the flavors were so balanced it was perfection.. My friend got the Birria tacos and they were the star of the table. My other friend got the burnt end taco and that looked awesome too. I’ll try that next time for sure.! The drinks were only OK… The skinny margs were super sour and my tequila espresso martini was lacking in alcohol, but it is what it is …Can’t wait to return!
