Holistic Skateshop — Local services in West Reading

This place is the best. They’ve got the widest selection of skate products I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to a lot of shops. Tons of decks from companies big and small. All the shoes you want. Really nice clothing selection, along with hard goods like wheels, trucks, and bearings. In my experience there is always a good independent skate video on while you shop. But besides the products, this place is a community center for skateboarding. You won’t find locals meeting up in a corporate mall store. At Holistic, skaters come here to meet up and explore the city, to eat food together, to spend time together and keep their boards going. I’ve seen kids come in off the street and a skateboard has literally changed their life. Skateboarding gives people a sense of meaning and a reason to stay away from the negativity that can overtake life. The owner JD is 100% committed not only to skateboarding but also to the Reading community. He makes sure all are welcome no matter who you are. This place is top notch and you have to check it out. Even if you don’t skate you can find a great outfit here. And if you haven’t been to Reading before, JD or whoever is working the shop will give you suggestions on local food and things to do. I had really the best experience working with the fantastic people at Holistic!! THE BEST! JD went absolutely beyond my expectations to help get the right shoe in the right size for my son. And to add another layer of complication, he did it all while I'm in Colorado, he's in Pennsylvania, and my son is in New York. best skateshop around, all the best skateboard brands, shoes, and apparel at a great price. you don't need to be a skater to shop here, they carry everyones favorite brands,like vans,diamond,obey,and many more with exclusive stuff you can't get anywhere else!
