My Macbook Pro that is 5 years old recently went through the process of a normal software update. However, to my surprise the next morning it would not turn on. I was on the phone with Apple for 5 hours and 3 different people. They told me my computer had gone into hard drive failure and advised me to take my mac to the apple store the following day. Being a college student, the last thing I wanted to do was go through Apple and be charged a ridiculous amount of money. I called Double Click Computers the following morning and dropped off my computer. They were able to fix it within a 10 day period which is wonderful! They also informed me that I did not need my hard drive replaced, and saved me hundreds of dollars. I had a great experience with Double Click. I’ve purchased several laptops from Double Click. They have always been helpful and knowledgeable - not pushy at all. I also paid for training sessions where they came to my home and assisted in setting up my Macs and taught me about advanced options in various programs I needed assistance with (I am knowledgeable about computers - this was high level stuff that required techie input.) Prices are fair and I’ve had positive experiences with service as well when my Macs have required repair. SO much easier and personal than dealing with the chaos at an Apple Store. Once I needed a part that wouldn’t be until the next day. He overheard my cell phone conversation with my wife and knew it was a hassle for us to arrange picking it up so he offered to drop it off in my mail box on his way home. I took my 2018 MacBook Pro here because I believed it had malware on it. When I'd use Safari, it would open up tabs completely on its own to the most random website link you could think of or just duplicate a tab I already had open. I brought my computer in yesterday and told them no rush, and I got a call this morning at 10:30 saying it was done! Nevertheless, my computer is running like new and feels smoother than ever.
