Very nice hospital building. I love the layout, and that the procedure suites are on the ground level and the main operating rooms and hybrid operating rooms are on the lower level of the Healthplex/T building so itâs near the emergency department if a patient needs emergency surgery, patients donât have to go upstairs to another part of the hospital and scattered across the hospital. Other features include 1 with single 50 new spacious private patient rooms on floors T1 to T5 including a wonderful view, very large green roof and amazing healing garden, Healthplex cafe, spacious waiting areas, and an expanded emergency department with 18 additional regular treatment rooms, psychiatric emergency department with 10 treatment rooms, 3 additional trauma bays, and a pediatric emergency department with 10 pediatric treatment rooms. Iâve only been to the procedure suite.
I was here recently for a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy and the staff, anesthesiologist, gastroenterologist from Digestive Diseases Associates who supervised the procedure, fellow gastroenterologist who performed the procedure under the supervision of the attending GI, and nurses were all amazing and treated me very well although I was feeling very nervous about being put under for the very first time and getting an IV for fluids and sedation. The procedure was quick, explained everything to me thoroughly on what to expect and afterwards discussed the results, got a snack and drink, and when home when I was ready. The room had a TV, but not all the features such as games, movies,...
Read moreThe staff knew about my allergy to chlorhexidine (listed in my chart and I had an allergy band on, also confirmed during the time of silence where they confirm who I am, the surgery preformed, and any allergies). Despite this, the anesthesiologists (there were multiple who could have double checked my allergy) still used it on my surgery leg for the nerve block AND it was going to be used in surgery for me before my doctor stopped them, because according to the staff itâs âjust hivesâ. I was rashed and hived where they did the nerve block, and my doctor confirmed they used chlorhexidine on me.
Mistakes happen, maybe the anesthesiologists made one, but the staff knowingly ignored my allergy and not only was it used once, but could have potentially been used twice if it werenât for my doctor advocating for me when I was unconscious on the operating table. Negligence, lack of compassion, and laziness. I do not want someone else that has an allergy to have it be ignored because itâs not...
Read moreThe doctors are good, but the nurses here are irresponsible and very rude and very lazy they give you attitudes when you asking for help and don't want to do there job as a RN and PCA, the night shift people are the worse they respond very late to the patient and half the times they say they coming back and they don't, i have to call them twice just to get help, by far the worst RN and PCA staff ever had they need people that love to help people not to be in the field for paychecks. There are very sick people who come here to get help and the last thing they need is a nasty irresponsible not caring people working on this medical field may the owner and managers do better at picking there employees to do this type of work. PLEASE DO...
