The Gem on Penn — Local services in West Reading

After posting my review, Jake, the owner, called me FIVE times within 30 minutes. When I called back, he yelled at me the whole time claiming I “slandered” his business (This shows you how Jake conducts business at Gem on Penn). Slander is a spoken false accusation – I wrote an HONEST and FACTUAL review of my experience. When you conduct bad/shady business, you should expect to have former paying customers share their real experiences. Shame on Gem on Penn who refuse to stand behind the quality of their product they know it is FAULTY and CHEAP! I will continue to tell people I know about this. There are plenty of other gem shops, including a NEW one opening off Fifth Ave on pen nave – GO THERE INSTEAD BUT STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOUSY, UNHYGENIC BUSINESS!

I bought a “sterling silver” ring that broke after just a few wears. When I took it back to the store, they said they could have it fix for a possible charge that might almost cost the price of the ring. I told them to call me with an update. TWO MONTHS go by, I left a message with someone at the counter, and never heard back. When I went in for an update Jake was disrespectful, rude, and unprofessional. I will never recommend Gem on Penn’s cheap products that they order from AMAZON and resell at a greater price. Spend your money at businesses that care and respect...

The Gem on Penn is a phenomenal establishment. The two owners are so incredibly informative, and they are extremely generous when it comes to the credibility of their products. If I ever have a problem (which is very rare with quality as good as theirs) they make me feel secure, safe, and heard. Every single purchase I have made there has been worth every dime and every minute I have spent in the store. Both owners work tirelessly to make sure their knowledge about the gems and crystals is accurate, in addition to them always showing excellent customer service and care for their customers money and time. I love coming here and I do so all the time. I appreciate it just for being the only gem shop close enough for me to visit. The crystals are always high-quality and I replaced all my previous crystals with ones from TGOP because of their quality. Forewarning: it is going to be expensive and the prices get to me sometimes, but it's understandable considering their quality. The people that work there are never bothersome and will talk about the crystals with you, there is a wide range of options including accessories, and they will always offer you a nice little bag for free to keep your things safe....
