Service: The service was good, very friendly and the bartender (Backster) made the best drinks. I got a corpse reviver and an aviation and both of them were super good. Food: the food was very underwhelming, for my appetizer I got the stuffed mushrooms. They were barely seasoned and for some reason they were RIDICULOUSLY hot; so hot indeed that it burned my entire mouth (I got sores from it) and I almost had to spit it out. I also had to drench them in tabasco sauce because they did not taste like much on their own. For my entree, I had the salmon with risotto. First and foremost, it was a pain to eat that because my mouth was hurting really bad. The salmon was warm-ish and it looked freshly made but the skin was not crispy which makes me think either it sat in the kitchen too long or it was reheated. A bit too oily for my taste but I guess that is preference. The taste (as much as I could taste) was okay, again not really blown away at all. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was okay, it was pretty quiet and I think the best way to describe it is OKAY. The atmosphere was OKAY.
Pricing: I get that is a fancier restaurant than the ones in the area but the prices did not match the experience. I paid a total of 91 dollars (including tip) but it was not worth the experience.
Overall: It's a just good restaurant. It's not bad but it is not great. Certainly not my cup of tea. Respectfully, will not be coming back.
UPDATE The WRMC was okay before but now it's TRASH! the service was terrible, the server straight up lied to us, the waiting time was insane and we didn't even get our food. I went with 2 other people for brunch, got seated fairly quickly and got coffees, we ordered food but it took some time, the server said our food was coming out so we kept waiting, after about half hour other tables that got there after us started getting their food so we were getting frustrated, the server came out and said they were backed up due to a large party that was there before us but they were almost done with our order. It's been about 50 minutes and our server and the manager come out saying there was a mistake in the kitchen and our food was misplaced, after an hour and 10 minutes finally, our server comes out and tells us our food is not done. At that point we cancelled the order and left.
Terrible customer service. Never ever ever going back. The only saving grace is the bar upstairs. AVOID THE...
Read moreAn absolute beautiful piece of Architecture in West Reading, interior upstairs and downstairs were stunning, we opted for the ground floor fine dining experience. We were greeted with a very pleasant host that made us feel very welcome and sat us immediately. The restaurant was full with smiles and good vibes, although very loud and hard to communicate. Service started and continued to be excellent throughout our entire experience. The “Blinker” and “Champagne Flip” were phenomenal drinks, we ordered two of each during our service. For starter, we ordered the Grilled Lemon Butter Squid and Filet Crostini. Both absolutely excellent. Trying to observe other guests entrees as they arrived, we were both torn with Pan Seared Scallops, Pork Tenderloin Roulade, Fungi Risotto, or the Dry Aged Ribeye. Ultimately deciding on the scallops and Ribeye. The scallops were wonderful, perfectly sautéed, orzo was fluffy and creamy, the cauliflower and Asparagus were equally delectable. The Ribeye was presented and the server immediately asked for us to slice it directly in half to make sure it was cooked to desired temperature, it was a perfect medium rare without a doubt. However, the combination of espresso dry rub, char-broil, and lack of over all seasoning left the entire bone in dry aged 20oz steak tasting burnt, tough, dry, and tasting like a lump of charcoal. It was very disappointing. Service and management made it absolutely correct with multiple visits, replacing the entree with something else requested, comping the dish and providing a complimentary cheesecake which was the best cheesecake either of us have ever had. I have no doubt if I had ordered something other than the Ribeye I would have been completely satisfied. We still absolutely look forward to...
Read moreLet me start by saying—I’m a serious foodie and a tough food critic. So when I say something is good, trust me, it earned it.
Motor Club is a 3-tiered experience. The first floor offers a sleek dining setup, the second is a lively bar with live music, and the third was hosting a private party when we visited. The vibe throughout was classy yet fun.
Our waitress was an absolute gem—friendly, attentive, and her food recommendations were on point. I ordered the special: half-baked chicken with gnocchi. Now normally, I avoid baked chicken at restaurants because it tends to be dry or overly salty. But this dish? Holy Mother Virgin Mary. The flavor nearly knocked me off my chair. It was an orgy of flavor and texture—perfectly cooked, juicy, seasoned to perfection. Every bite left me wanting more, and yes, I shamelessly cleaned my plate like a savage.
We also tried the braised short ribs with orzo. For my taste, it leaned too salty and lacked depth of flavor compared to the chicken masterpiece.
And just when I thought it couldn’t get better—dessert arrived. A blueberry cheesecake that was heavenly. Light, smooth, not too sweet—just the right balance. It was the kind of dessert you wish you had room for even if you’re full.
Overall, Motor Club absolutely nailed it in flavor, ambiance, and service. If you’re a fellow foodie, go for the chicken…...
