What a disturbing experience. On 9/16/25, I drove 40 minutes in traffic with my 2 year old to do some birthday shopping at Burlington. I was greeted into the store by walking into a small area, surrounded by security ropes. A Loss Prevention employee then gave me what sounded like memorized script, something along the lines of âthis is for your own safetyâ. I should have turned around right then. I wonât even complain about the state of the store, the inventory or lack there of. My concern was feeling like Big Brother is always watching! How intimidating it was for me to mind my own business and shop with my child in her stroller. To be followed around and watched under a lens of suspicion, was nerve wracking to say the least. NOT a good tactic to get me to stay in the store and browse. Wouldnât me shopping longer increase the chances of me spending more money? I spent $101, $101 too much. I get home with my new purchases, only to have an ink cartridge security tag still attached to the blanket got for my kid. Now I get to spend my day off dealing with this, drive back to have them remove this tag? Just remember to âBRING YOUR RECEIPTâ to prove to you I didnât steal it. Iâll be bringing it, along with everything else still with tags on, back to your store for my money back. In the past calendar year, I have spent over $800 purchasing goods from Burlington, and this past trip will be the very last time. I will be spending my money elsewhere. Your loss prevention tactics worked too well, you just scared away a paying...
Read moreI shopped at this store today and was disappointed AGAIN. I have shopped here on and off since 2014 and I also worked there for a very short period of time. It is always dirty and empty. This store is still poorly managed. There are tons of empty shelves/ racks, and I have been in the store mor than once where there were far too many unprocessed boxes on the floor. There was an " announcement" on the overhead today while I was shopping ,that said "(employee name" to the back, you only have a 15 minute break" ) . Now we all have been where there is a coworker or employee that fail to do what they supposed to do but at no point should those shopping be aware of what is going on. That was rude and disrespectful. I mentioned it to the cashier ringing me out and she laughed stating " people act like they cant come back from break, I rarely even take my break" ( another horrible fact). An a customer this makes the store look more unprofessional than those empty shelves and dirty aisles. This place needs an overhaul from management down to the cleaning company. No one is doing a great job. Robert street has just been upgraded and there is no way that store should look the way it does. Treat the employees with respect an I bet the store would operate so much better. Right now, it screams mismanagement, unhappy employees , and " I am here for a quick...
Read moreThis is my go to store but I am upset to say that this will be my last time there. I went there to buy some furniture for my new place, specifically 2 expensive rugs there. After I checked out, I kindly asked the greeter in the front of the store, a older men with tattoo on his neck to see if he can unlock the cart and if he can stay in the front to watch me put my things away and to make sure I bring back the cart after unloading. I had one cart of the 2 big rugs and 1 cart full with my other items along with 3 kids. The greeter told me he cannot unlock the cart for me so I said it's okay. I told my wife to pull up the car to the front if that was the case, soon as I saw, the greeter has started to upload my rugs out of the cart and rubbed it on the floor, I again kindly asked him not to do that because I bought the rug and didn't want it to be dirty and he then responded that it doesn't matter who bought it. He then left me alone for a little bit and then came back with a cart, and push the cart almost hit my baby in the cart. I will never come here again, also my wife mentioned to me that the last time she was there with 3 kids, he offered to unlock the cart for her. I felt that he was rude and was very disrespectful when I was the polite one at first I then got mad with his actions. Please train your greeter...
