Updated 10/29/24: Jenny Schaffhausen, aftermarket sales, sold me an undercoating service through Inver Grove Toyota. I highly warn customers, "DO NOT DO IT!" (See my photos, it's bad & these photos are not even the real bads one yet). It looks like somebody did it in thier backyard garage with a spray can & missed practically 25% of the underbody of the vehicle.
Jenny claimed they're certified, took no blame, and pointed blame/responsibility to the shop. If I would have known it was going to turn out as bad as it was, I would have never purchased the undercoating from Jenny & Inver Grove Toyota.
Also, did I mention they didn't even lower my spare tire to undercoat my car's underbody. I was able to see a circular outlining circle of where they sprayed. So so bad!
I had trusted Jenny and Inver Grove Toyota to do good undercoating service and I didn't bother to initially check the work, because they are "Certified". If it wasn't for my kid, who kicked a soccer ball under my car, I would have never saw the trash work they did. I would have drove all through winter with this backyard job undercoating.
At the end, John, who managed the shop, was able to get my car re-done. Thank you John for making the wrongs right and spending the extra attention on my vehicle to make sure all things were done properly this time. Bad job to Jenny and to whomever initially did the undercoating on my vehicle, you should be ashamed of what you are telling and selling your customers versus what you guys are actually doing, as there is no quality and trust in your aftermarket service that you offer.
If you had your vehicle undercoated by Inver Grove Toyota, who Jenny claims they're "Certified", I would highly recommend you to look under your vehicle with a flasight and make sure it was properly undecoated, as you may find a lot of missed areas that should have been coated.
Otherwise, I recommend undercoating service elsewhere. (Minus 3 stars for the piss-poor undercoating and dishonesty about service).
This piss-poor undercoating now also makes you wonder what other corners they are cutting in service or even if they're providing any service work at all! Original Review: I was very fortunate to call Inver Grove Toyota and reach sales associate, Bryan Schultz, who went above and beyond to find and eventually get me a specific car I was looking for. If it was not for Bryan’s hard work, extra research, prodigious communication, and quick response, I would have never bought a car from here nor I would have never found the new car I wanted.
Thank you, Bryan Schultz, for your excellency in customer service, as you represent what true customer service is and made the whole process easy for buying a new car. Based on my past experience in buying new and used vehicles, if every sales associate was like Bryan, or at a minimum gave the amount of effort like Bryan did to me, the car selling business would be in a better place.
Talk about great and hard work, I highly recommend Bryan Schultz at Inver Grove Toyota to help with your next vehicle. Will look forward to working with Bryan Schultz at Inver Grove Toyota again in the...
Read moreEDITED Again: Jim Hayes and his sales manager got me a price for the Toyota Camry that I came home with that was below the Toyota build and price. He called me by my preferred name and was very respectful. He deserves five stars. The car was every bit worth the price that I paid for the car itself, excellent job Jim Hayes.
Jill had a good sales pitch for the family utility package and Tim Stolte had a good sales pitch for the extended warranty. However after a good night of sleep I can tell you that those parts of the purchase were a mistake. They 100% took advantage of the fact that they purposely interrupted my lunch and then made me wait for 30 minutes and Tim's office before I made a decision on the warranty clouding an altering my judgment as I got more and more tired as I had already been there for almost 4 hours. Jill also interrupted me mid lunch to sell to me family utility package. Both Jill and Tim Stolte also did not ask me for my preferred name at the beginning of their attempt to sell me stuff or bother to read it from the profile that Jim Hayes painstakingly made which had my preferred name at the top of it. This is pretty scummy behavior. I will return this review to five stars or lower it even further depending on the dealerships actions in response to future events.
I would like to update this review to let everyone know that I was able to in less than 5 minutes cancel the extended warranty and family utility package that I had purchased, Aliyah helped me with it, she was lovely and professional.
Further Update: Jill called back, and I gave her the you should ask for preferred pronouns and preferred name thing, and she was very receptive of this and I think and hope that she will improve on this in the future. She also let me know that she's actually putting in the refund for my family utility package. Will update this when I get the refund for that and then when I get the extended warranty refund or if there are problems with this.
Final Update: I got my refunds that I put in even faster than expected for the family utility package and the extended warranty. Thanks Aliyah!
New Update: made a small mistake and my car has a little scratch less than the width of my pinky nail. Called Jim up and he gave me solid diy advice for it. Saving me money again. Thanks Jim!
I also want to shout out the service department, so the Camry has a inbuilt steering lock, I accidentally triggered it and could not release it but a tech helped me undo it saving...
Read more1 year UPDATE. I’ve had both the ‘24 Tacoma and ‘24 GR86 for over a year now and they’ve been perfect for our needs. The Tacoma provides what I need for cargo and the power is phenomenal. With the 2.4l turbo, I’ve found it has just as much power as my previous Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss with a 350 cubic inch powerplant. The gas mileage is better than the Chevy and when comparing cargo loads, there’s only a small difference but that hasn’t kept me from using it as a pickup. We love the service department plus the customer service at Inver Grove Toyota and this is coming from a skeptic 65 year old retired military. We also purchased a new GR86. Though not driven as much as the Tacoma, it’s been a lot of fun driving it as it’s meant. No, I don’t do any drifting etc., but I can see where it would be perfect. Gas mileage is good and the power is what’s needed to ensure you feel like you’re in a sports car. We’ve not had a lick of problems with either and rest assured if I was unhappy with any aspect of these sales, you’d know. Very, very happy with all aspects. From sale to finance, service to driving, we’re very happy with our selections. Being in the market for a truck, I decided to shop around and start with either the Toyota Tundra or the Tacoma. I went with the Tacoma. The truck fits very well in the garage. I’ve got room on both sides and front, back. Using Inver Grove Toyota’s easy to navigate website, I was able to go online and schedule a test drive, chat with sales and arrange financing. All on my time and in my home. It was a smooth and seamless process. I dealt with two individuals in sales and they were cordial, polite and respectful. I appreciated the way they conducted business without being pushy, and they pretty much allowed me to drive the sale. I can honestly say that the cost of the new Tacoma from Inver Grove Toyota was cheaper than all other twin cities dealers. Shopping by model and trim level, the Tacoma TRD Sport, their team was able to lower the cost of the truck below that of all other twin cities Toyota dealers. That’s no bull. Again, the lowest price of all twin cities dealers. This review was completed by a 64 year old retired military vet and I highly recommend this dealership. Being a cynical skeptic, that’s saying...
