My sister and I got off work and came in on Saturday 4/27/24. It was 9:30pm and they closed at 10pm. We just wanted to order something quick to-go and head out to not cause too much of a hassle.
The first worker who helped us was clearly irritated and annoyed we were there (even though it wasn’t busy and there was no one else in the store). She started our order but we were checked out by a worker named Benjamin. Benjamin packed up our order and checked us out. When packing our order, he tells us they’re out of bread (bread comes with our try 2 combos we ordered). I look down and RIGHT next to him are pre-sliced and ready squares of bread in plastic packaging. I ask him “you’re out of bread?” and look right down at the bread next to him. He continues to tell me they’re out and refused to give us bread which comes with our combo. At this point, I didn’t even care to say anything or argue as the staff were clearly irritated at the job they signed up for and are paid to do.
I do not recommend this location. First and last time at the West St. Paul location. Go to the Woodbury location, you’ll at least get better service and the food you...
Read moreThe Southwest Potato Soup was amazing. It was hot and had a good soup to filling ratio. I love that they give the tortilla strips and soup crackers at no extra charge. The Avocado Chicken Chop Salad was good but not great. I prefer my salad to be cold and crisp but it was room temperature and wilting. I didn't get as much satisfaction as I thought biting into it. There was a strong smokey flavor to everything. The avocado slices were cut pretty large and starting to brown. The ranch dressing was great! I like my salad ranch on the runny side and it was just that. (I did come in as they were getting ready to close 9:30pm. My hot soup was on top of the salad. That might be why I got room temperature salad.) ☺️ Very pleased that a half salad and half soup with a rootbeer ollipop came up to $22. The drive through ordering isn't easy to use in the car. I had to get out because my car wasn't high enough. (I am also very short.) But I love that it is touch screen. I felt less uncomfortable trying out somewhere new with drive through, knowing I'm touching a screen and not talking to someone. It was a great experience and I see myself eating...
Read moreA real shame but have to put it plainly. Atmosphere was very pleasant. As I walked in the establishment, I immediately was greeted. Which is a nice change from other places. However, I did notice a lack of communication between the staff when organizing food. I know because when I got home to enjoy my food, every foodies worst nightmare happened. Part of my order was missing. Not just any sides, but my ENTIRE sandwich order. I went back to claim which is mine. Had no issue, I just said “im here to pick up my sandwiches.” As the staff member was getting my order, I noticed a couple employees just staring at me and talking about me. Which immediately made things worst on my end. Feeling as if I was the enemy picking up my order (that wasn’t in my togo bag in the first place)Was hoping one of them could’ve walk up to me to make things right. You know, just a simple apology. But no. All I got was “sorry.” Very disappointed. I know Zupas is new, but the food industry isn’t. If I wanted food items missing in my order I would’ve gone to McDonald’s instead. Get it...
