Great selection, stressful staff.

If you have a very specific idea in mind, they are well stocked and have options for almost anything, and very helpful on a slow day. The well dressed man who is often on his own is really lovely on slow days.

If you want to browse for ideas, though, it's one of the most anxiety-inducing places to go, as most of the rest of the staff seem to view looking and thinking as absolutely unacceptable and will aggressively harass you to converse with them, insistent that they can help you with whatever your indecision is (I recognize that theft prevention is important in this industry, but you can stand in an aisle and keep eyes on a person instead of non-stop insisting that you know what they want and can be of help even after help is repeatedly, directly declined).

Hilariously, on a busy day, you'll wait over 45 minutes for help with specific need not because staff are helping other customers, but because staff are so busy following around and trying to force themselves on folks declining their help, that they aren't worried about noticing you patiently actually waiting for help and listening to them do it. Hilariously, the minute I got a question answered by another member of staff whose targets left, and tried to get the item in question when they went after someone else, having apparently verified I was there for a reason, I was then followed and bothered by another staff member who had been previously ignoring me in favor of telling teens old war stories, but the minute I looked like I didn't need him he was insistent on my attention.

Honestly, the shopping experience I dread most...

Beware before you buy anything here they have great products the owner is a nice guy but the return policy is very bad and they will not do much from the store perspective they just basically pawn it off to you and expect you to do everything .i bought a $300 grim reaper .i bought on Sunday and I put it together Monday realized I lt was missing parts and it didn't work he basically told me to take a hike and didn't get back to me at first then I had to call in and it pretty much told me to take a hike again so great store lot of products good products but ask a lot of questions before you buy anything and make sure it works right there on the spot before you walk out of the store with it and you'll be happy you did because if it doesn't work good luck getting a refund or an exchange. Expect all to do the legwork yourself if you do buy something and it doesn't work they will not do anything for you other than make excuses why they...

HUGE building, stuffed to the gills with every costume supply you could think of. (wanna be a bunny, a knight, an actual bunch of grapes? a polar bear, ronald reagan, a hershey bar?) costumes to purchase or rent, magic supplies, makeup, you name it. jim was helpful and friendly and even shared a magic trick with us. this place is a gem! their website couldn't begin to catalog their inventory, so call or stop by if you are looking for something in particular, and please note they have a firm no returns policy. :) also, siri doesn't really know where this place is. it's in WEST st paul, not the west...
