White Castle — Restaurant in Inver Grove Heights

I have never been to white castle before, and will probably never go again. That being said, the customer service and atmosphere here were, against all odds, very pleasant. Frustratingly so, even. The Employees were nice and helpful and understanding, helping me to understand how to get the most value out of my money, considering the size of the order it was delivered rather quickly, and it was just nice??? And even the customers, (almost completely white and over the age of 45) were unusually kind and sweet towards each other, and the staff, always being sure to thank them and each other. It was as if I had stepped into the world's most wholesome, yet least flavorful family reunion, an energy of joy and comfort aerating among the smell of cheap meat and stale chicken, guests who had never even met conversing pleasantly about lawn care or Chip and Joanna Gaines as if they were old, dear friends. I used to believe that White Castle was a sign that God was dead or had abandoned us, but now I see the error of my ways, as there could be no greater proof of a higher power. My conclusion, dear reader, though achieved begrudgingly, is that there is a heaven on earth, and it is, bizarrely and mind-bogglingly, at White Castle.

I was born in minnesota, but raised in california, so it's been a long time since I've been here. I think the last time I visited and went to White Castle was like almost 10 years ago or more.

My fiance has never tried it fresh, only frozen, and this felt like a good chance to introduce him to it. We ended up getting into town kind of late, so I ended up just going through the drive-thru to order one of the bigger combo meals, that way he could try a little of everything.

They were very nice, they got the food out quickly, and everything arrived back at the hotel still warm and fresh. We got I think 10 cheeseburgers, 20 chicken rings, and a thing of fries for like 25 bucks, so it was a pretty good deal. My fiance was pumped and we both enjoyed the meal.

I didn't get a chance to go inside, although I'm sure it hasn't changed much. If they were this nice & efficient in the drive-thru, I can't imagine sitting inside would be much different. We'll have to do that while we're here though, I know my fiance...

Not very pleased with the service. My girlfriend and I stopped to grab food around 1am after being at the hospital for hours. I ordered a 10 piece mozzarella, cheese fries, and a medium grape drink, we get to the window and order was completely wrong (received a 3 piece instead of 10 piece, small drink instead of medium, and never received my cheese fries) I respectfully mentioned it to the worker and instead of correcting the issue, she shut the drive thru window and yelled to her co worker saying “can you come deal with this I don’t feel like arguing tonight”. We felt disrespected because we were only trying to get food and go home. The other co worker corrected the issue however made the comment “I will argue I have time tonight” & I still never received my cheese fries and had to stick with my small drink. I feel like my service will not continue at that location if that how the workers are going to act based on the...
