Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Inver Grove Heights

I wish I could say that I was satisfied with the costumer service and food, but I can’t. I ordered a pepperoni dinner box on 12/26 at 7:46pm, the mobile app said that my order should be delivered at 8:09pm. I waited outside on my porch at 8:09pm. At 8:47pm I called Pizza Hut as it had already been almost an hour since I had ordered my meal. I called Pizza Hut and they told me that it would be 12 minutes until it was delivered. Awesome, I waited on my porch for the order to be delivered. At 9:33pm I called Pizza Hut again seeing as my order was not delivered when they said it would be. I was directed to a manager on the phone and she told me that my order had already been delivered, this was a lie, as stated above I had been waiting on my porch this whole time and had not received my order. At 9:48 I called again and asked where my order was. The manager said that she apologized without giving me a real answer as to why my delivery was delayed. I was fed up and asked for a refund instead. The manager told me that getting a refund was not possible and that the only thing she could do was remake my order and send it out again. Since that was the only option, I agreed. At 9:55pm the manager called me again and told me that they were out of the pizza I ordered. If they would have gotten this right the first time this wouldn’t have happened. At 10pm I got a text message saying that my order was out for delivery via DoorDash, the estimated my delivery time at 10:22pm almost 3 hours after placing my order. My food was mediocre. I am Very disappointed with Pizza Hut refusing to refund me and will never be ordering from this...

December 2021:

They no longer make it like they say they will. Two out of my two orders in the last month were incorrect. I could been been unlucky, or this could be an ongoing issue.

In the first order, the pizza I ordered with extra sauce had very little sauce. They gave me a credit. I used the credit on my second order in the last 30 days.

In the second order, I ordered and paid for an upgrade from breadsticks to cheese sticks along with an extra cup of icing CinnaStix, but they gave me breadsticks and only one cup of icing instead.

The meaty marinara pasta was a 7/10. The CinnaStix were as good as ever, 10/10 for the price from a national chain.

I ordered takeout. It was ready in about 20-25 minutes. When I placed my order about 1 to 1.5 hours before closing, the estimated wait for delivery that day (it was a Friday or Saturday) was three whole hours. TBF, it was snowing lightly.

One last thing: in case it matters to potential customers, the staff weren’t wearing masks.

2018:

They make it like they say they will, and the food is good.

I get pizza and desert from this location about half a dozen times a year. I usually do carry out.

Each time, the staff at this Pizza Hut made the food exactly like they were supposed to.

The wings are good, along with the pizza, the CinnaStix, and the Hershey’s chocolate chip cookie.

Wow - apparently, it doesn't take much to spark a bad review (full of grammatical errors, lol) out of some people. Well, as is usually the case, I'm here to balance things out a little.

I've ordered from this Pizza Hut several times over the 6.5 years that I've lived in SSP. My orders are always made right and delivered in a timely manor. I've never had to wait more than an hour for delivery (except maybe once when I ordered during a snowstorm); most recently when I ordered carryout, they had my pizza ready in 15 minutes.

As for the quality of the food - everybody has their own opinion about flavor. I've eaten pizza from a wide variety of different chains, as well as local restaurants. While I can't say that I think Pizza Hut is the best, I would easily rank them above some of the other chains like Little Caesar's and Papa John's. Beyond the pizza, I really only get into chicken wings on occasion. The WingStreet boneless wings are absolutely delicious! Garlic Parmesan is my favorite, but I haven't been disappointed by the Buffalo wings either.

So, with all that being said - I honestly don't order out very often, but when I get the craving for pizza or wings, I'll continue to give Pizza Hut...
