Taco Bell — Restaurant in West St. Paul

Update 02/18/25: AI in the drive-thru has become quicker, that’s a plus! One of the best locations IMO. But need a live person when you order?- download the app and check in with a 4-digit code at the speaker or mobile order. Also- you qualify to get free items when you hit certain tiers so it’s a win-win especially if you frequently order! I appreciate the ones at the window, definitely have become friendly faces and kind.

Update 10/29/24: I’m still going to keep it at 5 stars because compared to other locations, this is still a great one! Only thing I want to let others be aware of is that they use an AI customer service at some point in the night… Sadly spent an hour in the line a few weeks ago and it was 11:30pm and I didn’t make it out the drive through till 12:20…it look almost 10mins per car to move. I feel it definitely takes a bit longer in line now. There is a sign on the voice box that says there “Virtual Assistant is helping out” and it asks so many questions. I’m fed up with saying “no” after saying “that’s all” 6x’s. Also- if you do check in with your Taco Bell rewards- you usually get a LIVE person—-so get the rewards to get that order, ordered quickly. I get the point of AI is to help a shorter staffed kitchen, but it’s not cool to see people sitting around by the counters-looking at their phones, bored, after I wasted time in a drive after a long day at work. Just constructive feedback. Hope the AI thing improves with quicker service and less questions! I get it, I could just have made food at home and not complain but again, still love this location just not at night. Everything is always on point! They def stay busy! Plus, the cashiers are always so pleasant/funny in the drive thru- good laughs + keeping the line moving is the way to go! almost every single night my boyfriend and i would go to this exact Taco Bell and I would order the same things every single time. on New Year’s Eve at around 10PM I ordered the $7 luxe cravings box (which is what I always get) with the Doritos locos tacos, the cheesy gordita crunch and the 5 layer beefy burrito. I ate everything but the burrito and nearly 2 hours later I threw all of it up, had diarrhea, had chills and my whole body started hurting like crazy. I had a fever of 100° and was throwing up non stop and couldn’t keep anything down and had to go to the hospital to get medicine through an IV. turns out I clearly got some kind of food poisoning from the food that I ate and I couldn’t have gotten food poisoning anywhere else because all I had to eat that day was a donut and the Taco Bell. Idk exactly what taco got me sick, idk if it was old or raw meat that was put in my tacos or if the food was contaminated with something or what, but I’m very disappointed because I’ve been going there almost every single day for MONTHS and nothing like this has ever happened. it’s safe for me to say that I will never be returning to this location and the cooks really need to pay better attention to the food...

I pretty much expect my order to get f'd up when I go here (I continue because my wife loves Taco Bell).

Last experience:

This Taco Bell has hit bottom. I've gotten accustomed with my orders missing toppings, heck I even expect it now.

But this last visit was the worst! Not only for Taco Bell but probably the worst visit to any restaurant I've ever been to!

Spicy Tostada (had chipotle sauce, and corn tortilla was very stale*, couldn't eat this) -no chipotle sauce

Queasalupa Beef (no cheese in tortilla, "you had me at cheese", more like "i've been had", 1st and last time to try it)

7 Layer Burrito (mostly beans which were dry and very dark, probably several days old) no latin rice

Cantina Power Burrito (DISGUSTING & inedible, mostly mayonnaise & limp, soggy, lettuce, a little cheese & chicken, no black beans, no guacamole, no pico de gallo, very disappointed since it was $4 & I was really looking forward to trying it)

Receipt barely readable, thats why I gave no Survey Code. Now your website is telling me 3 minutes left or I have to start over... I'm only at...
