Aldi is love, Aldi is life. The first time I went I was shocked by how low the total was after being a Cub foods shopper for so long.
Pros: Low prices is the biggest pro obviously. This store is clean, compact, and has friendly service. Produce is good for the price if you are mindful of what you're looking for. Frozen, dry goods, and dairy are excellent. They have unique limited time grocery every time I go. I also like the tiny household plant/flower section. I found the venus fly trap there once.
Cons: Meat is ok, but not the best. I do not like their bread at all. Most items have one single brand. Branding is way overrated in general, but if you don't like their brand of an item you are S.O.L. Also they carry COMPLETLEY random non-grocery items. That sounded interesting to me, but I don't think I've ever seen anything worth buying and that junk takes up too much space in the store.
As implied above, there are some items I don't like there. I can do about 75% of my grocery shopping there, but that means I have to go somewhere else for the other 25%. Even though I love Aldi, sometimes I'll just do 100% of my shopping at cub out of...
Read moreOk I like Aldi's, their brands are just as good as any others I've tried ... and the prices are among the lowest.. but what I enjoy most about all Aldi's is the stores clean the carts are always there.. their prices are competitive with most of the stores on my strip... Most of their stores if not all, are small enough to find what you're looking for without walking around up and down 15/20 isles... What I detest is the speed with which they've been trained to get your groceries off of that belt and into the cart.. lately I haven't had to correct any cashiers what I found is if I asked them to slow down it usually works don't throw my stuff around that's that's the one downside of all this.. I might add I have shopped all these from Florida to Minnesota and Minnesota to Texas when I see all these I will stop and I found they're all made in the same way the same structure the same little lies you might find a few things different according to the the location in which you're in but all these are the same.. I started shopping at Aldi's in the early 2000s when the one store that I knew of was...
Read moreStandard Aldi store. I assume it's a slightly older one based on layout and size, so sometimes it gets a little crowded and they don't always have the expanded stock of other stores, and it's also the darker lighting and lower ceilings. That said, staff is always super nice and I rarely have a problem finding my standard items. Usually the wait isn't bad either during weeknights/afternoons and if you're using self-checkout, you can generally either walk right up or just have a short wait. At least four self-chrckours typically open and one standard register, though they will open a second one and the other two self-checkouts if necessary. Parking lot isn't my favorite to park in and get in and out of, but it's not the worst either. Overall, pretty standard location and one that I frequent quite often as it's the...
