Let me first say that I understand we have a health risk here in slc and all over the world, I get this and do my best to ensure safety of other people. With that being said I have a medical condition and a doctors note that I carry, excusing use of a mask due to this medical problem. I tried to explain this but was cut off and told I would not be allowed to shop there if I didnāt have one I tried to show them my doctors note as it seemed they just didnāt believe me, but then again very rudely told me āit doesnāt matter, you canāt shop unless you have oneā Okay, fine, I carry a mask just in case of this scenario. So i put my mask on. They asked if I would like some hand sanitizer, I politely declined. Then I was told again I would not be allowed to shop if I didnāt! So I use the sanitizer, I knew what I wanted and went directly to it, as I was standing in line, due to my medical condition I needed to use an emergency prn medication, it took ten seconds maybe, but none the less I was rudely asked to leave, I explained that I was only taking medication that I needed at the time they told me āwe get people like you all the time. Sorry if you donāt like the mask rule but if you want to shop you you have to abide, you havenāt and now itās time for you to leave.ā Iāve never been treated in such a way throughout the last six months. We were able to recount the whole situation to try and help everyone get on the same page, within a few days of our original shopping experience Fayth was able to help us get the correct product, all in all she has turned this into a really good experience a good outcome.
Original: We are mostly frustrated by the miscommunication and lack of communication. First: we were told the toy included a recharging station, it did not, so we were lied to. Second, we drive home, open the package and realized it was not the one we intended to buy, so we call the location, explain our situation and they tell us we might be able to work something out with the manager. My husband rushes back to exchange it day of right before closing and even pay more for the one we actually wanted, the second he walks in and talks to the manager, she immediately says "no it left the building". Would have appreciated if we were told that on the phone that this is non-exchangable and saved my husband a frantic trip. I understand policies about things leaving stores and being unreturnable (I have worked in retail too) but they didnt even try to work with my husband, didnt tell us that sales were even final, and wasted our time not being clear on the phone. As I entered the boutique a women named Shay greeted and welcomed me into the store. there were several other guests in the store as I explained what I was looking for I could see the wheels turning in her head so that she could help me find the right new toy for. she was able to move from customer to customer effortlessly. I never felt like I was being pressured or waiting for too long in between her helping other guests. Shay is very knowledgeable on the product she knew about she also used storytelling to tell me about products she didn't know as much on but new people who used them.
