This toy store is a hidden gem. So many excellent toys and great options for kids of all ages. I was delighted to find this place recently, and after just a few minutes of browsing with my toddler in late Sept., I had decided to come back for much of my Christmas shopping.

Unfortunately, the sole employee in the shop that day made a rather poor impression. At first it seemed fine - she checked in with me and let me know she’d be doing some work in the back, and where to find her if I needed help.

The back of the store turned out to be all infant and toddler toys - perfect for my child. I sort of wondered why she’d hadn’t directed us back there when she checked in, but no big deal. We explored back there, and I asked the employee a couple brief questions, none of which she had answers for (does the shop do sales events, or Black Friday types deals? For example). She did not offer any resources to find out or stay informed.

We left a little later, and I asked my tired, hungry toddler to wave goodbye. He did so, a really shy and little wave. The employee didn’t notice and cajoled him for a wave. I pointed out his tiny waving hand, and her response was “what a lazy wave that is.”

My toddler, who could have been pitching a fit from being sleepy, hungry, and leaving toy-less, who was instead being sweet and friendly… and was called lazy for it.

The whole interaction was off-putting, and had me reconsidering any of my holiday shopping there at all. I’m only writing this review, because it’s been a week, and it’s still bothering me.

I don’t need people to be perfect. I do expect that folks who work at a toy store though treat children with respect. Calling a toddler...

After driving past this toy store a few times, I finally decided to stop in today, and I’m so glad I did! This place is truly amazing and has so much to offer. I ended up starting my Christmas shopping early and found a bunch of fantastic items. The woman working, possibly the owner, went above and beyond, answering all my questions, helping me locate everything I’d seen on their website, and even recommending a few extra things I hadn’t thought of.

When it was time to leave, she carried my bags to the car so I could focus on getting my toddler out, who was not quite ready to say goodbye to the store. You don’t get this kind of care in many places anymore. They also have a rewards program, which is a great bonus! Hands down the best place for toys, and I don’t see myself shopping anywhere else for them from now on....

Very fun looking store. Friendly staff. A bit on the pricey side- I brought a $100 RC truck today that was 2x more expensive than the same one at other stores.

This was an impulse buy, so I can’t be too upset. Comparison is the thief of joy, and shopping at the small stores can cost a little bit more… but 2x more expensive?! By then, we had already taken the thing out of the packaging and were playing with it, but the news stings a little.

We will return but will be making sure to comparison shop a bit on the higher ticket items. My kid got some toy trucks that seemed reasonably priced that I think he’ll like...
