Brea Lu Cafe — Restaurant in Westbrook

I have eaten here a few times the first few times it was good I went back today and it wasn't so hot we had a waitress who asked us what we wanted for a drink and then a few minutes another lady came over and asked the same thing I let her know that someone already took the order she says oh she's leaving so I'm taking over we said okay and regave drink order the one who helped us didn't leave she was walking around helping may other customers the women who took over our table brought us our drinks then left and didn't come back for 5 minutes she took our order then went about her business never checking in brought out breakfast never asked if we needed ketchup or anything and walked away my fiancé had to go up to the counter after 5 to 10 minutes of waiting to get ketchup she didn't come back to our table at all until she thought we were done reaching over and grabbing plates before we said we were finished gave us our check and as soon as we paid went running for her tip... mind you they weren't busy at all at this time.. the food didn't taste very well either our home fries tasted dirty his omelet had things he didn't ask for and the hash want cooked very well at all and the potatoes tasted dirty in that toast was burnt the only good thing was eggs and bacon very...

I only gave you 1 star because 0 stars doesn’t appear to be an option!! I spend a decent amount of money here and today the owner came outside and started berating me telling me he is sick of giving me “FREE” food! Well first of all if you didn’t have incompetent waitresses that take my order and not send it to the kitchen.... make me wait 25 min just to tell me my order wasn’t sent and it will be a few min longer..... thennnn give me someone elses food or the complete wrong order so I have to come back and get my order that I waited 45 min to get... thennnnnnnn to find out you charged me $7 + too much on my card.............. I mean come on guy get your restaurant together!!!!! For you to come outside and embarrass me and my fiancé by saying you’re sick of handing out free food??¿¿?? You have to be using drugs or drinking to excess!! I have never been treated this way anywhere, probably because I get what I actually order and pay the correct amount...

Ive been here a time or two and its been fantastic, well this morning the waitress older woman blonde who was not very pleasant from the get go came over to ask us if we wanted drinks and I gave her my choice and told her we were all set to order. She wouldnt let us place an order because there were other people ahead of us that hadnt ordered yet. Where on this planet do you go and sit down and are told you cant place an order because other people are undecided. So I have to sit here and have my time wasted because others cant decide, we didnt even need to look at the menu It was me and my partner versus groups of people. What would have been the harm? The logic makes no sense, and then I had to sit there while she went over to another waitress and gossiped about it and they both stared at our table so we got up and left this had been the most unwelcoming experience ive had anywhere. I will not be back, neither will anyone I know...
