I went into the recently opened Optimum store in Westport CT to ask about changing my mobile phone carrier from ATT to Optimum Mobile. I had heard that Optimum had several phone plans that would cost me a lot less than what I was paying ATT.
Dom, the Optimum Customer Representative who helped me patiently explained the available plans and convinced me that I would get the same phone service/reliability from Optimum that I had with ATT and that I would be able to keep my existing mobile number.
I decided to switch to Optimum Mobile and Dom started to “switch” me over to Optimum Mobile. However, there was problem in that ATT terminated my phone service too soon, long before the “porting” was completed into the Optimum system. Dom calmly and patiently tried four (4) separate times with different overseas ATT agents to briefly reactivate my ATT account so the “porting” process could proceed and finish. Finally, all of the time and effort paid off and now I am an Optimum Mobile customer.
I can’t praise Dom enough for his patience, perseverance and calm handling of the switchover.
If you go into the Westport Optimum store for any reason, you will be fortunate if Dom, the Optimum Representative ends up helping you.

Marvin helped me select and buy a new iPhone as my old iPhone had run out of storage.
Marvin was super-helpful and patient in putting on a tempered glass protective cover on the phone and then transferring all of my data, music, photos/videos from my old phone to my new iPhone.

Read moreI’ve been an optimum customer for a long time for cable and Internet. The last time I was in the Westport store, they talked me into trying Optimum’s mobile service with no set up fee for only $15 a month, so I tried it. I wasn’t happy with the quality of the service so I decided to disconnect the line. It was impossible to log into the mobile website. There are some technical issues with it. I also never received any emails from them with billing information. So I called customer service And spent over two hours on the phone troubleshooting email problems. I also requested to have the line disconnected. After to go around in circles, they told me I had to go into the retail store to cancel. I went to the retail store the next day. They told me that I had to call Customer Service to cancel. I called customer service today and they gave me the runaround for almost an hour refusing to cancel my service. I finally got transferred to a supervisor who reluctantly canceled the phone line. I found out later I was charged a $35 set up fee after being told there was no set up fee. But I didn’t know this because there’s something wrong with their email service so I never got their email bills. I have a migraine headache from trying to disconnect the service. Read moreI went into the local Westport Optimum store today with an issue regarding my wifi service and the telephone customer service I had experienced while attempting to get the issue resolved. Alex and Everton were absolutely AMAZING!! They went above and beyond to determine the hardware issue, and to understand what needed to be done regarding activation. They ran interference with the online customer service team and found a number for me to use on a Sunday when the regular customer service office was closed. They texted me for several hours until my wi-fi was working again. Honestly, if it wasn't for Alex and Everton I would have left Optimum because I was so frustrated with the difficulty I experienced in trying to reach someone over the phone.
