Ocean State Job Lot — Local services in Weymouth

I went to, what I would call, the new "Super Size" Ocean State Job Lot in Weymouth and for dollar store lovers, we have found our Disneyland. This store, for a dollar, is huge. It is clean, well stocked and has many items I have not seen in other locations. There were plenty of employees on the floor stocking more merchandise as people were shopping and plenty of cashiers at the registers. When lines did start to backup, the store manager jumped on a register to ease the crunch. The food section is enormous. Anyone who is making charcuterie boards or food baskets are sure to find those special items to include and then they can move to the aisles with the ample supplies of party and decorating items. I had a terrible experience at the Weymouth Ocean State Job Lot on 8/24/25 around 3:50 PM. I asked an employee named Brian for help to get a dolly（or other flat cart） so I can use it to move a 170+ lb cast iron bench to checkout, and he refused to provide a dolly at first. After I requested again, he reluctantly brought out two carts and told me to “pick one,” but still refused to assist. Worst of all, he kept saying a 70-year-old customer should carry the heavy bench by hand without a dolly from the back of the store to the front cashier.

Large, clean and well stocked store. I’m very excited to see the spring gardening items like soil, fertilizer, seeds, tools and gloves are already out. The food selection was also fun, varied and affordable. I especially love the chocolate and teas at Job Lot. I always find socks and comfortable pajamas and today was the same. I found 5 pairs of nice pajama pants for my kids and wants socks for me. Today I found avocado oil, the same brand from the supermarket but cheaper. I will definitely be back...
