Really enjoyed our time here overall, with 2 parents, a 6 year old and a 2 year old, plus a friend came with his toddler and dog. It was easy to bike there from NW Denver and there were a handful of good U racks to lock up to right outside the entrance.
We really liked the food selection - I had the Adobo truck’s green chile with sausage (delicious but pretty damn spicy), and there was also a taco truck there with very good birria tacos and quesadillas. Good beer selection, and our kids loved the frozen lemonade. Would’ve liked to see a few more N/A drink options, though.
The kids loved the play yard they had set up there, as well as a variety of lawn games spread out around the huge patio area. On a 65 degree spring day, it was great sitting out at the picnic tables; there are also several cabanas with fabric shades. Might be a little hot out there on a summer day if you can’t snag a cabana, but I bet in the evenings it...
Read moreI was excited to support a local business on opening weekend, especially after seeing it slowly grow over the last few months. I appreciated the flame heaters since they were the convincing factor to get my friends outside after work, but they informed us that we had to pay after a certain amount of time or they'd turn them off. We would have been more likely to stay longer (and therefore spent more money) if we were warm. I left feeling like I should've also asked if we had to pay to play the games they had sitting out. I'm hoping these are all growing pains that will be ironed out because I'd love to see this place succeed in my neighborhood. Staff was very polite and friendly, and I...
Read moreI enjoyed the outside atmosphere, and the nice open vibe of MoonRise Garden Bar & Food Trucks. The staff was nice and kind. It's a young, energetic, family, and dog friendly environment. The only issue I truly had was that they service all of their drinks in plastic cups, and I didn't notice a single recycle bin. Even if the cups can't be recycled this young, cool, and smooth place should at least give off the illusion that they care where the plastic goes after it's disposed of. I also understand that because of cross contamination cups can't be reused, but it hurts knowing that that cup will probably be here for decades after it's single use. Thanks and have a...
