Summary: wrong battery ordered, no communication, went to Google store
I first scheduled an appointment on their website and was called by a tech regarding battery bulge for my Pixel 6. What struck me as odd was how much the tech focused on explaining current issues with battery drain for Pixel 6a and Pixel 7s....not sure why that was relevant (this comes into play later). I asked if they had a Pixel 6 battery in stock which they didn't, but I still should go in-person to be assessed.
At the store, I confirmed the obvious battery issue with them. The tech stated it might even be under warranty! Spoiler: it isn't.
The moment happened where I should have listened to my spider-sense: the tech stated it will be 3-5 business days before the battery arrives but should be a quick fix once they get it.... Do I want to go somewhere else? After a brief moment where he pauses and stares at me, I declined and moved forward with the order. I received my receipt where it says Google Pixel 6.
Fast forward 5 business days and not a word. I tried calling, either the line was busy or it would just ring. I decided on a site visit and waited in line. Side note: The customer in front of me was getting their iPad repair comped because it took a couple of attempts, not a good sign...
The fateful moment, this tech (not the original) scans my receipt and informs me that the other tech ordered a 6A battery by accident! Sorry, it will be another 3-5 business days. With the line growing behind me, I left more confused than anything; disappointed that I held off on an easy, emergency repair.
I pose this question to you: more than 11 business days later do you think they ever called to tell me the Pixel 6 battery had finally arrived? You know the answer.
I have since gone to the Google store and had a new battery in less than 2 hours and for a cheaper price than what I was quoted by this business...lesson learned.
No need to have a follow up with ownership, but they should explain why there is a hyperfixation on certain phone models? Overall, a...

I have a Samsung Flip 6 that is approximately 6 months old and the "Tech" there said that my phone was damaged because of the plastic that had been rubbed smooth due to a case being on it. Also tried to say the screen was damaged because of the marks in the screen protector. Keep in ming the device comes from Samsung with a plastic/rubber screen protector and does get some marks on it. This phone has a number of reported issues with the screen going 100% black because of the ribbon connector in the device going bad. After all that he tried to say Samsung wont honor them fixing it and will just charge them. what is the point of this store saying they are an authorized repair service. I took this to another location, and they were willing to look at it on the inside before making any assumptions. Phones are tools and they do get ware and tare. I have the feeling the tech didn't want to look at the phone because of the complexity. there are great example of this device being fixed by simple pushing the connector back down. I would if it myself if it was not under warranty and getting my warranty voided. Simply look at the device before you make assumptions and say you won't fix my phone.
If this is the case was Samsung, you should consider bringing up the issue to a regional manager and talk about how you can form a better relationship with Samsung. It is 100% unacceptable to make assumptions knowing this is an issue with the device and saying I marked it up.
Update: Samsung had not issues fixing my phone and it was the cable inside that...
Read moreSubpar at best. Mediocre and unenthusiastic employees who think they are always right and smarter than the average customer. They couldn't fix my samsung galaxy note 8 with a software issue, so they told me to contact samsung directly. That was after they held my device overnight and asked me for my security information so they could access my phone. My phone has been acting even more quirky since they had possessed it overnight. They probably tampered with it to access my private information...who knows what these teenage nerds actually do with peoples sensitive information. Makes you wonder. Then I was left with no other option for a cracked screen protector on my note, Verizon wireless was out of stock due to only having Galaxy 9 and Note 9 products due to the new release. So I went in the UBreakiFix location across Naperville rd and asked they unenthused and apathetic employee if they had any in stock, he looked like I had wasted his time and said that they didn't help with those kinds of issues cosmetically with phones. So I walked out without a response and saw on their sales floor, screen protectors but only for iPhone products. Unbelievable that he would deceive me and turn down my service request, when they clearly carried other cosmetic products for devices that were not for Android. Call me biased, but I'll take my business far from this place. Honestly I'm far better off ordering online somewhere. Thanks,...
