Tailchasers Pet Care — Local services in Wheeling Township

UPDATE: We've now been with Tailchasers for nearly a year and it's still 5 stars! Since the review was first posted, we've also used their pet sitting services.

Each time, whether a weekly visit/walk or pet-sitting over a few days, the level of care and communication from Leslie and the TC team is above and beyond. And our pups are super happy with her and their visits together. :-)

We started with Tailchasers recently to help with weekly walks/at-home visits with our two pups (our previous walker with a different service was closing down her business). The process to get information on their services, then schedule a meet & greet with our assigned walker and officially start services was super smooth.

We had an intro call with Phalycia, where she was extremely friendly and thorough. We then had some follow-up emails with her and Randa (TC owner) to get a few more of our questions answered and then schedule the meet & greet with Leslie, our assigned walker. It all went so well and smooth.

The first walk/visit with our boys was great. Leslie posted so many adorable pics in the post-visit report. I also like that you can see the route they walked. That's super helpful!

We plan to use their pet care services for when we travel, too. We look forward to working with Tailchasers and being a client of theirs for many...

Lengthy review but I promise it’s worth it, especially if you have a nervous/anxious pup.

I moved to the area about 3 months ago & if you’ve ever moved with a dog- you know it’s just as much as a transition for them as it yourself.

I have a dog who was a pandemic pup who I raised in the rural south & I was pretty nervous about moving him up to a metropolitan area. I knew finding him a daycare was going to be quintessential for his success. I wasn’t sure how he would take to it, but I’m happy to report that it has been an amazing experience.

What I have loved about Tailchasers is that they originally listened to my concerns about his anxiety and skepticism for new scenarios. Their daily routine has proven to be helpful for my dog & I can tell that Sarah, Allison, Diane and the rest of the staff really care about the dogs entrusted to their care.

Their daily report cards are fun bonus to the day and the biggest factor of all: my dog loves being there. So much so, he would run to Tailchasers from my house if I’d let him.

He went from being so nervous to even go in the front door to being filled with excitement once we arrive in the parking lot.

Tailchasers has been caring for our cats when we are away for at least 6 years now. They do a wonderful job and I would recommend them to anyone who needs petsitting. They are so professional and caring. I am a worrier, but I never worry about my cats when we are away. Our cats are very shy and do not typically come out unless family is at the house, but our older cat consistently comes out when the petsitter is there, which is amazing, and is an indicator of how wonderful the petsitters are! They provide an e-mail that shows the details of each visit, the services that were provided, the time that the petsitter was there, and includes pictures of the cats. Our younger cat hides in very hard to photograph places, but the petsitter works very hard to get a picture of him in his hiding place.
