This is my first ever Google review. I can't not write about my horrible experience here to share with others considering options for healthcare in the area. I was seen for a tick bite and initially given a course of antibiotics. I returned for follow up care several weeks later for blood work. I was told that the blood work would come back in "a few days". After a few days, I called to inquire about the labs being resulted and I was received with a negative attitude from the staff and told that my CBC could take up to a week to come back and that whoever told me a "few days" was wrong. Every phone interaction I've had with the administrative staff has been cold and unfriendly- and clearly patients calling with questions is burdensome to the staff. Finally, four days later I got a call that I was negative for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Then after two weeks, I was called by a secretary who stated that my lab work had returned and that I'm "positive for Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever", and "seek follow up as needed". I was shocked to hear this news and understandably had several questions about the interpretation of my lab results as multiple antibodies were sent off. She said "you have both of these positive and should be fine because you were treated for them". I was confused as to why I was told just a few weeks before that I'm negative for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. I asked if the ordering provider could please call me back to review these positive results. It is completely understandable for administrative staff to provide patients with results that are normal, however if an abnormality is identified, it's unacceptable to be notified and told by someone completely non-medical that "you're fine because you got antibiotics". Two days later, and I still have not received a call back from the ordering provider. Attention to detail is lacking at this facility. Not only did the clinician not do a physical exam (other than feel for a few lymph nodes), or even have a stethoscope, but it was documented that a complete exam was done as noted when I received my medical records. In addition, my abnormal lab results were reported to the ordering clinician the day before and not reported back to me until the following day as evidenced by review of my record. It would seem like standard of care to notify patients of abnormal results as a priority when they are reviewed by a clinician. If you have a sore throat and need a strep test or Covid test and this is your only option, it may be an acceptable facility to have those tests done. However, for anything more than an extremely straight forward reason to seek care- I would...
Read moreI am only rating 2 stars because my actual experience with the nurses and physicians was good. My experience with everything else does not even deserve a star. I was tested 3/16 for Covid via rapid test(only due to exposure). Surprisingly, my results were positive. The physician and myself both thought that was odd due to the fact that I had 0 symptoms, and I had already had Covid in November. So, she recommended that we do a PCR test to be sent to the lab, because they're more accurate. I definitely agreed, because I didn't want to miss any work! She told me to call them back 3/19 if I had not received the results back from that test. I had not received my results by 3/19, so I called to ask for them twice that day(once in the morning, and once in the evening). I called them EVERY day MULTIPLE times a day for over a week only for them to tell me " We will call you as soon as we have the results". I was told for 2 days in a row that a nurse was going to call the lab, and that they would call me after they talked to the lab. Both days when I called to check on the status of that situation, I was told that "There is no documentation saying that a nurse was supposed to call the lab". Finally someone supposedly called the lab, and the lab said they would fax them my results that day. This was 3/23. On 3/24 I still had not received my results, so I called them once again! I asked to speak to whomever was in charge but was told that "We don't have an office manager or anyone that's technically in charge". So, I proceeded to tell this lady my situation. After our call, she was going to immediately call the lab to get my results. Well, she calls me back, and claims that they did not answer. But she just wanted to let know that she left them a message. And that was the last time that I ever heard from them! My quarantine ended 3/26, and I had not heard a word from them. I never once received an apology, or was offered to be retested. I ended up missing a week and a half worth of work, AND my husband had to be out as well. I will not likely be back, and I will not recommend Fast Pace to anyone! Very disappointed with my service, and I still don't know if I actually missed work for having Covid or for a false result from...
Read moreI called on Wednesday 1-20-21 morning to see about getting a Covid test done and to see if my insurance was accepted there. I was told my insurance was accepted and to come in when I wanted to. I get there do all the paper work and hand it in. Then was told I had to come back Friday because I needed to be exposed at least 5 days before test. I go back 1-22-21 Friday morning. I had to fill out another paper, give my ins card and driver's license to them again. And was told to wait in my car and they would call me. No mention of how long I would have to wait. 1 1/2 hours later after only seeing 5 people go in. I get a call from the nurse. She asked me a few questions about my health. She told me to come back in to see the receptionist. I go back in was told I needed to pay my co-pay, which on my card says $30. co-pay. But I am told I have to pay $75. even if my card says $30. I go ahead and pay the $75. thinking this is BS. The nurse comes out to get me and we go to the room. It takes 10 mins for me to see her and the doctor and I am done. I was told since I wasn't getting the fast test for Covid it would be 48 to 72 hours to get my test back. Well 72 hours was before noon 1-25-21. I waited until almost 7:00 pm 1-25-21 to call them. Talked to the receptionist again and told her who I was and what I was calling about. She told me what my results were negative. I asked her when did they come in, since I have been waiting since Friday. She told me they came in yesterday, but they were only open for 4 hours. Yet they had all day today to call 8 am to 8pm. If I had not called them myself when would they have called me? Fast Pace where at? More like fast pace to get double my co-pay. I will be calling my insurance company about this. I think with Covid so bad as it is everyone would be on top of this. Plus this is a new medical place in our city, should be ran...
