My wife and I have been going here since the doors opened. This is an amazing establishment with amazing staff. It has been great watching the Tavern evolve over the years. The food is great, the service makes you feel welcomed and like family. This can be difficult with today's ever-revolving door or workers, but the Tavern does an outstanding job of making you feel at home. Over the years, they have grown their loyalty base, take-out options, drink and food specials, and entertainment without sacrificing quality or customer service. The "service industry" has changed post-Covid and the Tavern has done what is needed to evolve with that climate. Jade and Adam are great owners with a wonderful staff such has Betsy aka cranberry, Heather, Shay, Olivia, little Liv, Taylor, Stevie, Taylor's mom (ha), Angie, Teresa, Lyle, Pete, Huntlee, and all the newer staff and anyone we may have forgotten. Each day has a certain theme associated with it. I would list each one but I am not sure if there are any updates or changes. You can visit their Facebook page or web page for more information. They do have family entertainment on Tuesday with Singo and Thursday with Trivia.
My wife and I are leaving this review because I think it's important for others considering visiting Tavern 76 to hear from locals that not only live near there but also dedicate a few days a week to be part of their atmosphere. When we see reviews that are left that may be negative or reflect poor stars, this is in most part when a customer is either not following Tavern 76's establishment rules; such as becoming argumentative if the staff feels they have been drinking too much (safety issues for them and the customer) or trying to change a menu item that Tavern 76 can not change and it's stated on the menu. These are things that fall under their rules and guidelines for the establishment, not a reflection of poor service, cleanliness, or food issues.
We would recommend the Cheese Burger Eggrolls, Cheese Wedges, Tavern Salad, fries, any baked potato, and if you like adult beverages, they have great bucket prices and mixed drink specials. Oh - and Gary the Golden Bachelor likes to stop in from time to time....he's been there twice and mentioned to my wife that Tavern 76 is his halfway point when he...

They explained how it was a mess, and apologized for the awful experience, and let me tell you, NIGHT AND DAY difference. Not only was the staff an absolute pleasure to be around, but the food itself was to die for. Delicious all around. In 2024/2025, T76 is the place to go for sure. Thank you for turning this place around, it's back on my top list!
Original review below: Absolutely awful experience this evening. Used to love this place, but my how the tables have turned. First of all we got there at 4:44pm, and sat at a table. It took 15 minutes before a waitress even came to our table on a very not busy evening. 4:59 we were waited on. From there our food didn’t show up for another 20 minutes at 4:31pm. The burger was WAY over cooked (dark brown all throughout) and the steak was black on one side and bleeding on the other. Also extremely tough. After we finished eating, we waited an entire 20 minutes before the check FINALLY arrived at 5:53. Tuesday nights kids eat free with an adult entree, which was added into the receipt anyway. I asked why it was there, then the waitress had the gut to tell me “uh, oh, umm, I guess I forgot. Let me fix it.” In such a way that she very much did not intend to take it off in the first place hoping to pocket the extra $5. From there, she proceeded to turn around and say “I’m only going to take this off if you tip me $5 for it.” WHAT!?! Are you serious?!? I said the sign says kids eat free and I can tip what I want to tip (I ALWAYS tip at restaurants as I’ve been in those shoes plenty before, I KNOW it’s tough sometimes.) So I asked to speak to her Manager, to which she proceeded to turn around, take my card, and run it. I then asked her again, to which she said “have a nice night.” Then walked away. Needless to say no tip here tonight nor in the future as I will never step foot into this place again. I was also not offered a receipt after I signed the store copy and when I got home, $5 had been added onto the bill from what it was supposed to be. Unbelievable that a BUSINESS can conduct themselves to such a low standard. Don’t go here, save your money for somewhere that...
Read moreSo.....Tavern. When I walked in, there seemed to be one singular girl working the entire bar/serving area. There was no host, so no one greeted me at the front. I went to the bar, ordered to-go food, and took it home. To start, I think it's very telling that they are clearly severely understaffed - this is typically indicative of poor management/low pay for staff. I also know that they recently had an entire group of servers quit, which says a lot to me. Second, the dining room is forlorn, run-down, and pitiful - the primary blue paint that's chipping off the walls and the loose baseboards don't help with the appearance. It has a general vibe of "don't touch anything unless you want to wash your hands after" that i don't love. As for the food....it was ok. Literally just ok. My burger fell apart (I was told this was because they inject liquid into their burgers to make them juicier, which is insanely confusing to me), and my corn ribs were tough and hard to eat. The manager/owner is sitting out back chain-smoking every single time I've ever driven past, which doesn't make me feel like he has much to do with how the food leaves the kitchen. Overall, if you're going to spend that much money on a meal, you're much better off going to one of the many Mexican restaurants in White House. Tavern has the ability to be great if they would take responsibility for the previously disappointing quality of their food and make it better moving forward, instead of continuing to make the same food while posting stock photos of food they did not cook to their social media pages. Don't hit me with the auto-reply either, I don't want to talk to the manager. I want y'all to do better, for the sake of your business.
Update: after this review was posted, the owner (Adam) of the business sent my facebook profile photo to multiple employees, asked if they knew me, and if so, to tell me to take down "my ridiculous review." No one has responded to this review from the restaurant, and they deleted my comment from their facebook page without responding to my question. I feel like my privacy has been violated in this incredibly unprofessional...
