Forman Mills — Local services in Whitehall

SO disappointing, as I've heard good things in the past. The layout is a terrible, except the HH section upstairs. Enormous selection of women's (+ men & kids) clothing to sort through, most downstairs with mens. Spent nearly an hour as there was plenty of poor, borderline trashy quality items seeking something appropriate and appealing to wear. Then with items to try on, I had to schlep upstairs only to learn their dressing rooms are closed! Returned my selections downstairs then perused the myriad of HH items, linens & accessories picking out a few nice, useful bargains. Happier now.. Then I hear the staff person AT the Customer Service counter (loud enough) discussing recent and highly sensative news, spewing biased and perhaps even unfactual statements and opinions. As a CSR professional, this is VERY INAPPROPRIATE for any employee anywhere in any retail setting! I took no personal offense as someone who may or may not agree, but in any business this is an unacceptable behavior any good manager would allow. I placed my purchases down where I stood saying just loud enough that "You just lost this new customer forever." Then I left and realized how few cars there were in the lot......

This was our first time going to Forman Mills. It has good parking including handicapped accessible parking. It us 2 floors and does have an elevator. It looks dingy especially in the bathroom and the elevator. There was not even a lock on the handicapped bathroom stall and you have to enter a code on a keypad to get into the bathrooms. Not the most hygienic options. The do have a large amount of items and good prices especially on plain items. My husband and son both got 2 packs of tank tops and matching shorts as well as a few other things. The women's clothes seem to be for the younger crowd and didn't appeal to me as well as most not going past a medium or a large. The men's seemed to offer a better selection. It was still definitely worth the trip from Sellersville to Allentown though. The best part of our experience was out checkout. The gentleman that was at the register was so courteous, charismatic, funny, and even had inspirational words to say to my son. I wish I would have...

Really I'd say 2.5 stars if I could. There is a large variety of clothes, shoes, accessories, kids clothes & toys, & home decor. The quality is usually low for most of the items but sometimes you get lucky. Generally the store is organized & clean. The biggest draw back is the customer service. The cashiers move at a snail's pace regardless of how busy or not they are. & you're usually hard pressed to find an employee to help you on the floor because they all hide in the back listening to music or in between clothing racks to text. This past visit the store manager was scolding employees over the intercom to hurry up & start cleaning/wrapping up now (1 1/2 hours prior to closing) because ,it's the holidays & I've got plans.
