Ordering online for curbside pickup was very easy through "Toast". We were given a pickup time of 5:45 PM. Once we arrived at the restaurant, about 5:30 PM, my husband called to let them know we were in the parking lot for our curbside pickup order. We tipped accordingly for a curbside pickup. The back ground noise was so loud that the man who answered the phone had a hard time hearing my husband even though he was almost screaming before he was heard by the restaurant employee. The employee said "it's here waiting for you" good by and hung up. They didn't bring our order to our car even though it states on the receipt "CURBSIDE" When inside to get our order the attitude from the staff member was just here's your food. They were extremely busy but being pleasant wouldn't have taken any additional time.
Overall the food was very disappointing. Empanadas $15, 1 chicken and 1 beef, were great! Crispy crust and nicely flavored meat. 3 Yellofin Tuna Corn Tacos $18, had no flavor except for the over whelming black pepper taste. The tuna, yet rare in the middle, was dry. So dry it looked like it was made days earlier. 2 out of the 3 tacos were thrown in the garbage. Chicken soup with Mexican rice $11, was nicely packed. The rice was in a separate container from the soup so the rice did not get mushy. The soup container was wrapped tightly in plastic wrap so it didn't leak. There was plenty of shredded chicken in the soup. That's where the good review on the soup ends. It was spicy yet had no flavor. 2/3 of the soup went into the garbage. 3 Salmon Tacos $18, we're almost as bad as the Tuna tacos. The salmon was also very dry with very little flavor. Al Pastor Tacos $18, were good. We would definitely get them and the Empanadas again if we were forced to return to My Tequila House. The size of the items for the price was ok. The overall quality and flavor was poor. We were excited to finally try this restaurant but will never go back. It would have been so much cheaper and the food better tasting at the local fast food...
Read moreVery disappointed here. Was craving Mexican food & this being the closest to my house decided to give it a try with my 3 year old son. The inside is nicely decorated & hostess was very nice but that's about where the compliments end. Drinks came quickly, but we waited nearly 30 min for my steak fajitas to come out. My son's food did not arrive however. I then noticed my rice & beans did not arrive with my food. I had to track down someone to ask about that & my son's food. 10 min later my side came out & my son's food, however with refried beans, when I asked for black beans. We waited another 8 min before that was taken care of. In the meantime our drinks were empty & no one ever asked if we needed refills. As for the food, my son seemed to enjoy his, but my steak was overdone & rubbery. I asked for medium rare & came out medium well, and it was sliced open a few times (maybe to check for doneness.) This caused the inside to continue to cook in the cast iron pan & dry out. The meat itself was poor quality and tasteless. Rice & beans were good, and so were the peppers, onions & zucchini that accompanied the steak in the pan. 3 small flour tortillas were given, not enough for the food that was given. Halfway through my meal and nearly an hour after our drinks were empty, we were finally asked if we needed another round of drinks. Again, those came out quickly. In conclusion, I will not be dining at this establishment again. There are better Mexican restaurants in the area & I rather take a drive somewhere else than frequent this closer one due to the poor quality of my steak, long wait for food, multiple mistakes, & a server that was...
Read moreAn awful experience from start to finish. Called two weeks in advance to make reservations and the guy said he couldn't hear me but every time I asked a question he answered. Then he said again he couldn't hear me and hung up. Should of just figured at that point to go somewhere else. He explained They have bad reception at times. For a business that would be one thing that I would make sure worked. But I called back and stated several times that I wanted reservations for 2 people. I repeated myself several times with the date and time for 2 people. Well we get there and there is only one other couple in the waiting room. I told them I had reservations and the lady sits us. The waitress comes out and gives us two things of chips and salsa I told her we only needed one that it was just us. She then explained that we would have to wait in the waiting room for a seat. I explained I had reservations and she stated they dont do reservations for two people. I stated the guy took it down 2 weeks ago and never mentioned it at all. She kept tell us we had to wait in the waiting room because they don't do reservations for two people. She was very rude about it as well so we decided to leave. So as we left we told the waitress about it and she looked at us with nothing to say. Not even I'm sorry. So as we walked out we saw another couple pull up and walk in as I was calling catus blu I saw them walk out and leave. Don't worry catus blu had amazing customer service and we went there to enjoy amazing Mexican food. Never going back to that place and explained it to...
